Is that really a thing that happens with women, where they are into a guy but nothing’s going to happen? That could be one of the reasons men get confused.

In my experience, the vast majority of men are completely oblivious to the “obvious” signs women try to give to indicate interest, even though we can easily spot them when those signs are directed to someone else.

I have a few theories about this: one is that a lot of men have misinterpreted signals in the past so they don’t trust their judgement any more. Another is that there are guys who lack the confidence in themselves enough that they don’t believe the evidence in front of them. My third is that there’s a big range of difference between what’s obvious to women vs what’s obvious to men.

Can women always tell when a guy is into them?

I have had mates say to me why could I not spot the signs. So maybe I am stupid. But unless she is maybe trying to kiss me or feel me, at times I don’t see it and probably missed so many opportunities.

If I were given a choice of a sexual superpower, I would have to decide between one of two:

The first option is something like Spider-Sense, except I’d get a tingle when I was near someone who finds me attractive. The downside is I’d be really depressed if it only went off very rarely.

The other one, and the more likely I’d choose, would be the ability to point at someone and make them orgasm, and the longer I point, the more intense it is.

Aside from the obvious aspect of making me seem like the world’s greatest lover, imagine how that could make everyday life easier for you!

Say you’re in a bar and some asshole tries to pick a fight with you. This power could shut that down immediately. Or you get pulled over by a cop… you wouldn’t even give them time to ask for your license and registration.

You're not stupid. Respect is good - as long as you're not creating a false narrative (e.g., "she's innocent," or ""she sees me as a friend"). You can respect women and still pick up on their non verbals. Laughing, playing with hair, licking lips, biting her lip, any touching she does. But of course the best way to find out is just go for a kiss She'll go with it or deny it and then you've got your answer.

I simply meant that just because there's attraction doesn't mean a man is owed sex. Sounds obvious but I don't want people to think I meant that signs = "yes." There are some indignant posters here, men and women, ready to get angry at the slightest provocation.

A lot has to go right for sex to happen...both parties have to be available, interested, and there can just be other factors at play. Example, she (or you) has an early morning flight and it's either sex or pack and get some sleep, lol. (Literally had this happen a couple of times.)
