Have you thanked your local commenter lately?

Sure they don't do it for thanks, but damn, look at all of these comments! I try, but often fail to send out thanks to those who give feedback, but I do not always get there. THANK YOU!!!

Also, let's hear it for the people who volunteer their morning, afternoon or night in order to write up reviews, making sure to read each and every poem carefully.

And to those who send anon. comments, personal emails etc.

This community works because people are generous with their time, caring enough to give support, talented and willing to give help. This community is what we make it.

One of the reasons I don't comment as much as others is because I don't necessarily think my opinions are all that important to most of the serious poets on the site. But if you are asserting that comments from baby-poet-wannabees are appreciated, I'll comment more often.

My Dear Miss O, it's about the poems, not the poets--and any opinion that's honest is a good thing. I'm more swayed by what's clearly a heartfelt opinion that I can consider than I am by some "expert" review.

I too have not done nearly as many comments as I used to, and have dropped my name from the new poems review. I figure it all averages out, some back away others move forward like a cool cosmic communitado dance




It is all cool. Everyone does what they feel is best, and what they can do at the time. No judgement, hell my fav poet did not leave many comments and another one I think has left 2 since I have been here lol.

Just go to the Feedback Portal on the opening page (I have not been there in a while!) you can check out the latest comments being made etc.

I've only had 26 views on my six poems. I humbly appreciate all of them--at least you haven't been cruel. If you don't like it just because, that's cool, too. I guess that's why I have hundreds of people viewing them without saying anything!

I want to say thanks for responding from a different aspect. I had asked people to define 'erotic'. There were a handful of people who responded. I put a thread up about reviewing earlier today (8-26-04) and people have already responded. To those who didn't think I was smoking wacky tabacky when I posted my threads and responded (including you, Anna), I am eternally grateful.

Thanks. I, in turn, will try to comment on poetry I see as well. In fact, if you haven't read the haikus (some are true to the definition, some are by syllabic count only), please do! All of them are really good (sans mine, I'll let someone else say that mine are absolutely fantastic ). The most recently posted "Perfect Ten" poems have been hot to me too. Remec rocks!

I think they have a limited shelf life of roughly a month.

Thank you to everyone who has left such wonderful and helpful comments on my Denizens poems. It was the comments I received on the first one that inspired me to make it a series. And the criticism you have given me has helped me to improve as I go along. (I hope)
I'm trying to send personal thanks to all who comment, but my computer time is limited these days. If I haven't gotten to you, that is why. Not because I don't love and appreciate every one and every word. (even you, Chilled Vodka, ya wee shite. Hell, maybe especially you.)
