Have you ever received any complaints from your neighbors as a result of your BDSM play?

We moved into a new apartment building recently and the other night i heard the neighbor (who shares an ajoining wall of our bedroom) sneeze. The sound, although slightly muffled, was not anything i had to stain my ears at to hear. My first thought upon being able to hear them was the realization that they obviously must be capable of hearing us clearly enough as well... meaning every smack of His hand (or whatever object chosen) upon my ass, every pleasurable groan, moan & orgasmic outburst, etc... was being heard in their bedroom as well as ours. So far, we've received no indication from the neighbors that our BDSM activities are disturbing the neighbors... but i'm CERTAIN they must have heard by now.

Has anyone here ever received complaints or received acknowledgements of any nature from their neighbors in regard to the levels of noise due to BDSM activities coming from their home??

Yes. Almost six years ago when I lived in an apartment in Tampa, a femsub from KY came down to visit for a long weekend. The apartments in which I lived were two stories with four apartments on each level, in a square. The apartment below me was empty, as were the apartment to my right, and the one that backed onto my bedroom - I thought!

She arrived midafternoon Friday and was soon in the bedroom getting a good spanking, flogging and fuck. After a short nap, we went out to dinner and then a play party at the local BDSM group. Coming home about 2 a.m., I found it impossible to resist, as she climbed the stairs to the apartment in front of me, lifting her skirt and swatting her a couple of times, then bending her over the balcony railing with her skirt raised above her waist and spanking her a few more times before taking her inside to finish the job with flogger and cane before taking her ass.

The next day, as we lay out on lounges on the balcony catching some of that hot Florida sun, someone walked up the steps. I answered yes, and he looked at me and said, "I'm new to the area and didn't know where to find a local munch or play group... after yesterday afternoon and last night, I thought you might be able to help!"

This wasn't a jealousy thing, I nearly died.

About a year ago, me and K were . . . I think he was spanking me, I'm not sure, but my daughter, then five, came in the room and said "Mommy, I heard a strange noise." We thought she was asleep. Luckily I heard her bedroom door open, so we didn't traumatize her, but geez!

K thought it was funny, the jerk. It totally killed the mood for me, all I wanted to do was crawl in a closet and die of embarrassment. A few weeks later, K put a lock on our door, 'cause whenever we'd had sex about every 5 minutes I'd go "What's that noise?"

I must admit that no matter how hard I try to let the neighbors hear our fun with the whips I just can not get there attention. Besides I don't think I would really want to put C in the hospital to find out what they think, we dont have any neighbors that would hear anything but the ambulance.

i've been there and done that already, too. We have a lock on our door, and the ball gag Master likes me to wear does not only serve the purpose of providing Him with a pretty view. Turning up the volume of the stereo in our bedroom helps a bit too.

Another example which kind of fits the topic at hand:
i have two collars which Master has me wear, one for daytime/public (passes easily as a normal necklace) and another (thick black leather dog type collar with a slave ring centered on the front) for playtime/bedtime/private time. As He has me wear it each night to bed, i've forgotten to take it off prior to exiting the bedroom upon waking in the morning a few times. my oldest daughter is up before me each morning and has caught a glance of that collar a few times, yet never posed any questions about it. Last weekend it was just He and i, no kids for three days. He decided i should wear the leather collar normally reserved for when we are in private. The 'ex' stopped by to drop off my oldest from her weekend visitation earlier than expected. i had forgotten i was wearing the collar. He asked bluntly, "What is that?". i simply exclaimed, "It's a necklace". Quick thinking, and a plain enough answer, i think.

A few months ago prior to our moving to this new apartment building, we enjoyed a bit more privacy in the cottage He rented year round on a large lake. Last fall He had made promise of a plan of His to tie me to the floor of the deck outside (which was attached to the house and entirely suspended above the lake ... ) once the weather warmed up again. The move kind of killed that plan, as the deck we have now overlooks the very public, well lit, and far from private ... parkinglot. i love the new spacious apartment, but certainly miss the good times shared & privacy of that lakeside cottage!

Thanks for the kind wish, but that was some years back, and I now live in a three-bedroom single-family house. While the neighbors' houses aren't very far away - 15-20 feet - one of the empty bedrooms has only a window to the back yard and closet space on the wall nearest that neighbor, so should the opportunity ever arise again to use my floggers (and other implements) on someone, instead of something (like the arm of my recliner, lol), I have a comfortable space to do it without worrying about the neighbors either getting jealous or calling the cops.
