If you haven't, you really should.
She's a new singer/pianist whose gotten some airplay on my local jazz station (though her music is really tough to classify) - kind of young and very skilled.
Her voice reminds me of a mixture of Ricky Lee Jones, Etta James, and a sedate Alanis Morrisette. Her vocal touch is really delicate, tot he point of being ethereal (bot not quite, which is good). She's a strong singer and a very sparse piano player, which works well in the arrangements she's recorded. She has mostly original tunes on the CD, but covers a couple songs: an old country ballad by Hank Williams Sr, a jazz standard by Hoagy Carmichael, and an incredibly-sung rendition of "Turn Me On" (which made me feel dirty just listening to it!).
I got her CD, "Come Away with Me" a couple of days ago and it hasn't left my CD player. I highly recommend it.
