I've been into SPH and hotwife/cuck stuff for quite a long time. But partially due to a failed marriage following living a lifestyle involving those, my relationship with those kinks is changing.

I still think about them sometimes when fantasizing and still write stories about them. But it comes in waves, with intense interest for a short time, followed by complete disinterest and maybe even disgust. Each time my interest seems to get a little weaker.

Part of me thinks I still go back to those as that is what I am familiar with, but that deep down they are ruined for me. I guess that much like how our experiences lead us to being into kinks or a fetish, experience can also lead us away from those.

Not really sure if this fits into what you're asking, but in the past I wanted to experience a threesome with my wife, but strictly with a female as the 3rd person. I didn't want another guy touching my wife, I didn't want to see him naked, etc...
