how has your experience been with kindle?
I'm quite interesting in different ways to make money online.

I know there is quite a demand for erotic fiction writers, so was wondering if any of you had published books on kindle?

I have maybe 40 R. Richard books published in Amazon, as kindle books. The process is really very simple. However, Amazon's policies about erotica are sometimes difficult to fathom.

Hullo and thank you again for your lovely contributions to the Hot Arabic Chick thread.

This is my blogpost comparing publishing on Literotica, Kindle and Smashwords.

PennLady also recently put up a thread about self publishing which I haven't yet managed to click on the links and read . That might be helpful.

Don't sign up to Amazon's Select programme - all authors who do hate it.

I publish my books on Amazon for a low price even though they are free elsewhere because you can't publish for free unless you sign up to Select. They sell a little bit, except the werewolf story which got a string of one star reviews saying it was a piece of disgusting filth and so that sold quite a lot :D before Amazon realised they would have to cough to the fact that it was free elsewhere and put it up free - it's still downloading in the thousands.

Welcome to the board. It can get a bit wild in here but you can also get really good help with your writing questions. If anyone is weird to you, it's because they're weird ;). People here are kind at heart but they sometimes like a bit of fun. Take care of your sweet self on here and ignore weirdness.

Why yes, as a matter of fact, I have. :)

The truth is, right now the market is flooded (and I mean flooded!) with erotica. Thank you 50 Shades. And Amazon is changing their algorithms all the time, making it harder and harder to keep visibility up.

The good news is, if you have enough stories, and publish across enough platforms (Amazon, Pubit/BN, Kobo Writing Life, Smashwords or Apple direct) you can make a decent living writing smut.

If you just want feedback, Lit is the way to go, though. It's instant feedback and the writers here are invaluable for peer feedback. Seek out the writers whose stories you like and partner up with them. Critique each other's work. Hone your instrument before throwing stuff up on Amazon. I wrote at Lit for a full year before going to publication (and that was back when Kindle didn't exist....)

I know it seems easy to just throw stories up, but if you want to build a solid fan following it behooves you to practice your craft and present professional work. That means edited books and professional looking covers.

Just my two cents!
