I noticed Ish is still alive. Defying expectations, good job ish!

Who the fuck let you back in?

BG told me to come to lit, so I did. And I immediately noticed you weren't doing a very good job here of shitting on the hopes and dreams of the clowns that post here.

What's up sean? Get some good rest after the exciting elections over here? You nearly had some new roommates. It was close for a while. I was wondering what I would do. Canada, to freeze my ass off with Shan? Or England to freeze my ass off, but drink a lot with Sean?

Actually, I was fixing a hole in my parents' roof. And I'm still sleep deprived from Tuesday night.

As for shitting on the hopes and dreams of the RWCJ, Barak Hussein Obama did that quite effectively.

Indeed he did. And it was glorious. So were those same-sex marriage ballots that passed. i'm sure there were some strokes over that.

Every Weds. has just as much intensity when Prime minister's questions happen.

The next election in England is for Police Commissioners.

The public is not excited by this. The turnout will be very small because people don't know who the candidates are, what they will do or will be allowed to do, and don't care.

Whoever is elected, funding for the Police will be cut. The senseless overload of paperwork will continue. The courts will still give lenient sentences for violence.

The public has lost confidence in the government's ability to sort out the Police's problems, many of which are created by government.

The Police Commissioners will be rearranging the deckchairs as the ship sinks.

you've not got the hang of this.

you're s'posed to claim there will be anarchy, that the police will start refusing to arrest anyone who is gay, that there will be dead babies and tax payers starving in the streets and the sky falling.

I'd be better off in Tunbridge Wells.

I'll vote. There won't be a queue.

UK politicians can actually talk to each other, adjourn to the pub and have a drink together (they don't need to in the Houses of Parliament because their are many subsidised bars there). The political system means that every Member of Parliament has to have a friend in the opposition to link with if they want to attend a meeting elsewhere, or go on holiday.

It isn't unknown for UK politicians to appear together in public to support debate about proposed legislation.

We don't do anarchy. We do riots, but our riots are politically correct with all races, colours and religions represented (and an overload of those with previous convictions).

I imagine it's a lot like here....
"Oh shit! Has it been that long? We have to vote again!? Didn't we just do that? What's the weather gonna be on the day? And did anyone notice if there's a decent pub on the way to our local polling place?"
;)
