I was just wondering if anybody has ever hooked up with someone from this forum. I know that there is a lot of flurting and people making plans, but seriously has anyone ever got together. Let me know, give me hope.

I'm fairly new here, so I try not to overstep any "boundaries" that might be
perceived or set. Although I'm having a wonderful conversation (via e-mail) with a girl that PM'd me.

A few years ago, I did venture into the world of Newspaper Personals.
Ended up meeting two very nice ladies through that venue. The first was one
of the best kissers (and other things) that I'd ever run into.

The second, well.........as soon as we met each other, we pretty much knew
that it wasn't going to work out as we had hoped. But we had a wonderful
lunch, some great conversation, and remained "Net" friends for several years.
We have since lost touch.

Internet, Newspaper, Grocery Store...........does it really matter?

Yes I have, several people. And enjoyed most of them. There are a few that I truly wish that I hadn't met, but that is just the way that it is.

It can happen here and it can happen in real life. You find the players, liars, and idiots the same everywhere. It is just a matter of separating the wheat from the chaff so to speak.

Going on 5 years this fall with my "net pervert" boyfriend... lol And we've lived together for 3 years now...

(And since I didn't elaborate last time...) I've met many wonderful friends, some (ex) boyfriends, and only about a couple of assholes. lol

I've never met anyone from any online system before. I too don't want to jeopardize anything in my personal life. So I stick to my main rule: Honesty. Nobody can get in trouble with that. I gladly tell anyone that I'm married and live an honest life.

I would meet someone from here if the purpose was clear, and we shared an understanding. Lit is a great creative vent for me, and I view it that way only. I'm sure it's looked at as many other things by other people, but I keep it well defined for me.

Funny though, I am looking to find someone local to me so I can finish some stories... some things you just can't do without an assistant. Essentially, I'm looking for someone to hold a camera. I need some images to go with some stories. If anyone is in the Ottawa area who doesn't mind instruction from a photographer, send me a message.

All in all, I think there is a lot of nice people here on Lit, and I attribute that to the type of people who write material that is kind in many ways. You won't find Bobby Joe motor-head mechanic on here.. not if he's writing stories of intimate incounters.

I have to disagree with you eyesclosed. I have been known to edit writing that was both submitted and accepted, and posted on here that was written just by the very kind of people that you describe.
