Have you ever hurt yourself to make another person smile?

Physically? Mentally? Emotionally?

Don't you think it's about time you stopped?

Hurt myself to make someone else happy? Yes, i've done it quite often.

The amazing thing is that when you try to stop, they get really mad at you. It really puts the relationship into perspective.

I had a friendship like that; allowed myself to be contantly walked on by my so-called friends because I really didn't know anything else. Finally, I got tired of it. I met a group of people who actually liked me for being me and treated me as a person, not a door mat.

My former best friend couldn't handle that... He and I no longer speak. Of course, there is more to this story; how he would talk trash about my new friends and act nice to them to their face etc. etc. but it really isn't worth getting into.

I've been known to gently make fun of myself for laughs, but I've never intentionally done anything that I would call "harmful" to myself.

All the time, but it's fun, I'm a masochist, and I'm going to be in pain any fucking way so someone ought to get a giggle out of it.
