General Question please ..

Have the rules changed about closed threads please ?

My co writer and I have got attacked on our new thread , so have the rules changed on closed threads , I havent actualy been around for over 3 months , due to home (real life ) situation ....

Would appreciate any comments on this situation ....

No, the "rules" have not changed. They are still the same as always. However, a few weeks back, some folks got upset because they would see a new thread, open it, and then find out it was closed. In light of that, some people have taken to writing (closed) in the title line of a new thread if the story is closed to other players. That way when people see it, they already know it is closed.

Don't ask me what happens when some one starts a one on one thread and the other part is filled quickly. Seems like that becomes a closed thread - but what the heck do I know!

Anyway, the idea of including "(closed)" in the title line is completely voluntary. There is no "rule" about it.

I would suggest that if you are being "attacked" or harassed that you contact either ARaynes or Sweetp4u and report it.

I love Lit , but as I said, been away for a while ..

Well i made it a "closed " thread between Catlover and myself as I didnt want any more co writers , but for all to read ...

I have actually pmd the person concerned , to let them know my views about the situation lol.lol....

Think that they might get the picture now lol.lol...

Yes, Sarah, I recall very well! And I remember how well you did, too! Glad to see you back!

The person in question meant to go to the "Personals" board and wound up here. Evidently posted before realizing his error, then skipped out. The least he can do is to apologize for the name calling or edit out his post. We'll see.

I admit it! It was moi that started the original 'uproar/discussion' over closed threads (although I did not PM Sarah and would not be so rude as to single someone out). I have 'encouraged' people to put "closed" in the title so that us mere mortals do not waste our time trying to enter the ever so select club(s). Sorry, that was a bit sarcastic. To be honest, I have been in one closed thread myself .

Anyhow, I occasionally open all the threads on the first page. I usually find the closed percentages exceed 50%. I have a thread (the only one that I ever started) that pontificates on this issue at some length.

Bottom line, there are no rules - I just think it would be helpful if people who do not want other than their 'selected writers' would take .25 seconds and put "closed" in the title.

Actually, you may have begun the trend, but others were vocal enough to back you up, so I didn't want to lay the "blame" (as it were) all on one person. And, actually, it is a good idea - when I can remember to do it!

And the imbecile in question is not some one who posts here on a regular basis, so it isn't you. You have strong opinions, which we are all thankful for, but you have never been rude. And this guy said a few unkind things to sarah.
