Have I Messed Up By Submitting Too Much At Once?

Howdy all,

I last published on Literotica several years ago, but over the last few weeks my juices have been flowing, so I have picked it back up. I have started two new story series, and I am also excited to pick back up on an old one. But I am fraid that in my enthusiasm, I might have slowed down the proccess of getting chapters published. I submitted the first chapter of a new series last month and it was published on 11 July. Since then I have written and submtted three more chapters for that new series, had them returned with a request to break up my walls of text, and have re-submitted them. In the meantime, I also submitted a couple chapters of another story that I got excited about. In between all that, I created Story Series to manage the chapters and uploaded art for all three series covers.

I am wondering if all of my tinkering with the stories, submitting, re-editing then submitting them again has slowed down getting them published. (I'm sure it has). Should I cool my jets, consolidate work down to fewer chapters, then submit less frequently?

Re-editing stories that you have pressed submit on resets their position in the queue. Don't do that; only submit things you are happy about and don't touch them until they switch to NEW PUBLISHED.

Other than that, submitting multiple entries in a series should generally be fine, they will probably be published in order or together, but if one is held back it will NOT stop the others from going through. It's likely best to only submit part N+1 when N is already scheduled for publication.

Part 4 is going to fuck up your sequence, because you've changed the alphanumeric word format. I'd resubmit that one using Pt .04, so it's the same as the others.

I'd also suggest you think more about your subtitles - by repeating the same sentence, you're not maximizing tips as to the content. I wouldn't open story chapters presented like this.

The short answer is yes. Here's a thread about current waiting times. Spoiler: there's a backlog. Submitting more than one thing at a time is not, by itself, likely to cause any problems, but it's not going to make your time in pending go more quickly. Consolidating your chapters before posting is certainly one option, but it won't necessarily get published faster, either. Submission volume is high right now, as your own folder suggests, which means longer wait times in general.

There's a chance for higher visibility posting as a series, since your name and titles appear on the new lists more often, but I'll second the opinion that you're doing yourself a disservice by not taking full advantage of that and trying to create a new and interesting blurb for each part.

Thanks for that!

I appreciate the response and suggestions!
