Another year. Last year, I posted something nostalgic, a reflection on a long lost 'amore'. Not a pinning, a 'thank you' if anything, she's probably not aware how much she taught me about love and loyalty.

This year... well this year has not been easy. Not for me, and not for many of the wonderful people who post here. I want to say Thank You for all the warmth and support you gave me when I was ill. (I finish the anti-biotics tomorrow and this time, there has been no real problem). I'll have more tests in the New Year and we'll see how things are going.

Haven't posted a story in ages, and next year I intend to get my first novel accepted. That's where all my effort will be focussed. And I'm not really reading much on Lit, not entirely sure why that is other than I prefer writing to reading at the moment. So apologies to all you writers for that.

I miss Jammies, and Crim and Lou, Horsie of course, and I hope real life is feeding you plenty of hay. Wish Ant would post more, but I probably understand why he doesn't, he can tell me over a beer. Likewise for Doc Strab, beer I mean, I'll be in London for a month, drop me a PM.

I singled out Luc last year as the person whose post's most influenced me - I see no reason to change that, he's out on a limb, but it's a limb that in my view brings us closer to the centre; I wish he'd post more too. I'm appauled by Selena's productivity, she puts all of us to shame. I really hoping to meet with a bunch of you in Chicargo, at least for a day, last I heard the gallery wanted to move the opening to 25th which is going to make things tight.

My thanks to those of you who spent time helping me and encouraging me with my writing, I won't single out people, you know who you are and I can't really thank you enough.

Pure and Penny deserve special thanks for SDC - I meant to spend more time there this year, circumstances intervened, maybe next year I have time to contribute to the debates.

And lastly - Colly. What is there left to be said on her sad loss :rose: and the others of you who have lost something dear, my thoughts remain with you all :rose:

I'll be away for a while, with a mass of stuff awaiting my return to UK. Have a great Christmas, all of you, even you Ami. :rose:   (as appropriate)

*warm fuzzies*

Love to you and yours, have a wonderful holiday.

(p.s. I predict my obsessi--er, productivity, will drop off after the New Year  )

Merry Christmas, neon.
And a Merry Christmas to you Rob, I want to hear more publishing success from you next year.

And that goes for EL  and Selena  too.

Thanks Imp & Roxy, have a Great Christmas and New Year. 's

Checking Out, mostly ;)

its rare that a man can make me feel all melty-ish.
you have the cabability of doing so. come back to us soon.
be well, beautiful soul.

Neon, you have become something of a "rock" in my mind...for the AH. A solid, intelligent foundation for those of us who came after you.

You are always encouraging, always kind, and always ready to lend a hand to whoever needs it. I wish I could be more like you.

Have a wonderful Christmas.

Neon, you are someone I often think of, and whenever I do think of you, I do so with a smile on my face and a warm feeling inside. Now, that could be that I've got the horn on, or a bout of indigestion, but it could also be that in you I know I have a friend. ;)

You say you'll be spending a month in London? Damn, so close. Would love to hook up for a beer with you and Dr Strab, as you're two of my favouritest people I've met on here, who I've never actually met.

Take care, lovely man, and have a wonderful Christmas.

Katie-Lou   :rose:

Neon you give us all hope and courage...and strength. You are such a beautiful soul and I can only wish you the best for the next 50 years. :rose:
Merry Christmas my friend.

Only just back on line and trying to at least to catch up with messages.

Thank You Vella, Cloudy, Lou, Abs and Penny. Is blushing optional?

Lou, I'll PM you when I know what time I have free.

Have a wonderful Christmas, all of you.

Best of the New Year to you Neon..***** is not necessarily a 'gift', as I question the connotation, but it is what and all that we have and not even the next moment is guaranteed. Thus, we are left, rationally, to decide to use what moments we have in the best possible way.

Each of us here, for our own reasons, hold an unique space and place in the thoughts and memories of others...that is how it should be...

May you find what you seek and be happy with it.

amicus...
