Faith had just finsihed shoving some clothes into her book bag. She skipped down the steps into the kitchen raiding the fridge and cupboards grabbing some food for the weekend trip. There was only one thing she was almost forgetting but she fixed that as she grabbed the small flashlight from the junk drawer by the door. With a satisfied nod she locked up the house and walked off towards the old mansion too meet up with her friends. It had been her idea to spend the weekend up there. It was the perfect place to be at around this time of year. Alot of people said the old place was haunted and found it eerie but it never bothered her that much. She never believed in all that stuff anyways. She glanced at her cellphone as she go there. She was a bit early. Now all she had to do was wait for them to get there before the fun could start.

Patrick finished packing a few things, before he headed off to the mansion to meet Faith and his friends, upon seeing Faith he smiled at her and called out. "There you are Faith." He said smiling at her before giving her a kiss. "I thought you were going to come get me." He said as he smiled at her, standing besides her. "So we are finally going to stay the weekend here, you suggested it what when we 16. I'm still surprised you wanted to stay here, I know you don't believe in this stuff."

Faith

Faith gave a grin as she watched her Patrick make his way over. They had known each other for awhile and were dating, which was part of the reason she knew it would be a fun weekend. She gave a small laugh at his comment and kissed him. "Why are you suprised the?", she smiled "Not getting scared already are you baby?"

Patrick smiled placing his arm around her. "No at all." He said laughing. "Now what about the other two, they haven't chickened out on us already have they, although that would have some advantages." He said as he winked at Faith, yea this was going to be a fun weekend, especially since he was sure the rumors about the house were nothing but a joke.

Melody had gotten off of work and took a week off for personal time to do other things, she wanted to do other things and this was one of them, she found Faiths place and rang the door bell, she sighed some looking down she had not seen her boyfriend she wondered if everything was ok with him, she sighed some and waited.

Patrick looked at Faith. "You sure they are going to meet us here, they are going to try your house first are they?" He said placing an arm around her and giving her a kiss. He then turned and looked at the house. It had an erie quality about it, but there can't be anything supernatural in there, since those types of things don't really exist.

"Oh yeah oops", Faith said smiling innocently taking his hand as she walked with him back to her house. Sure enough there was her best friend Melody at the door. She snuck up silently behind her and placed her hands on her back. "Boo!"

She turned her head "nice try Faith, but I do not scare like that, you should know better" She laughed some and turned hugging her. "How have you been? in the mood to scare people I see" She grinned.

Patrick shakes his head at both of them. "Oh you two." He looked around. "Wheres your company Melody, I thought you were bringing someone along, they didn't get scared did they?"

She shook her head "No supposed to meet me here but I guess changed his mind" She sighed some. "S ometimes I wonder why i bother"

Patrick just looked at her. "Someone will find you soon, and actually met you somewhere, I guarantee it Melody." He turned back to Faith. "So Shall we head back?"

Lester fumbled with the keyring in the pocket of his tattered coveralls. His thin boney hand finally grasping the old skeleton key as it entered the lock. Turning it as the rusty tumblers in the lock made a terrible rattling sound. He pushed the old creeking door open and closed it behind him. He set the keys on the hook by the door and grabbed a match book off an old table by the door. He grasped the top of a hurricane lamp all covered in soot and grime. He wiped the glass and struck the match, and lit the wick in the old kerosene lamp. A shallow light oozed from the latern. He replaced the glass shade and turned up the wick and allowed a bit more light to trickle out. He walked a few paces to a old sailors chest and opened it retrieving a mason jar filled with clear liquid. Lester settled onto a old couch that served as his bed. He opened the jar and took a large swallow. As he exhaled you could see his few yellowed and rotten teeth. A smell of alcohol and a odor not unlike dead matter filled the air around him. He settled in as the warmth of the alcohol eased the pain in his swollen joints.

Faith

Faith gave a small nod happily. "Course. Nothing beats a creepy abandoned mansion around halloween", she said with a grin putting her arms around the two of them walking back. "Ya what I find funny? Grass doesn't grow around that place. Creepy huh?", she said with another amused grin.

"Abit Faith, but there are explantations for that besides some supernaturl thing." He said looking at both of them "So anything you two think is going to happen this weekend?'

Faith

Faith gave another grin and leaned in kissing him. "Oh there's a few things I can guarentte will happen". She countied to walk watching as the abandoned manor became more visable in front of them. "Why anything you guys want to happen? Or wish would?"

Lester opened and closed his hands a few times feeling the fluid do it's magic. He grabbed a old hatchet from the table and picked up a old and furrowed stone as began to run it up and down the the well worn blade of his hatchet. The shack filled with the sound of the blade slowly going up and down the stone.

"I'm not sure Faith, I think it will be a fun weekend no matter what, I think just for fun it would be cool if something strange happened, just for the arguments it would cause." He turned to Melody. "So Melody, what do you want or think will happen this weekend?"
