This seems like a great setting to lower inhibitions. Is it just a seasonal Halloween thing, or should someone tackle this theme?

Haunted house as in an "attraction" people go visit, or someone's home that is haunted?

(As I've opened many sentences in this board...) I have a story file in my disks of an Ouija board, and ghost, setting... :)

REALLY haunted house

Living in a haunted house has lead to some lowered inhibitions. I have an experience or two, or three, or four, where my wife's friends have stayed the weekend, knowing there are ghosts in the house. It has lead to some fantastic situations, and some ummmm well, I should write them. <insert evil ghost laugh here>

There's only about a page to that story so far, I think. Has some "dialogue" between some friends and the board. :)

Maybe closer to Halloween I'll pull that one back out. ;)

I just discovered that a writer named DeannaTroi has a series named The Haunted House , the sixtth chapter of which was just released today. Ch 1 through 5 are all ranked "H".

I read ch1 and it was quite tasty.....

I live in Maine and since our forefathers seemed to enjoy buring witches at the stake, so we have some good Haunted Houses and stories here in this great state.

Awhile ago I did some research on the Bucksport Witch, a legandary witch tale in the town of Bucksport, Maine. I think the research was almost as fun as writing the Literotica Story that eventually came out of it (Attic Vengence). The true tale was filled with scandal, deciet, trechery, murder/ execution (depending upon which side you believed and sex. My advice would be to research a tale based on truth and branch out from there.

My best stories seem to be based around historical tales of some type. We have some great haunted lighthouses...that might be a setting you might like to investigate? I know of one lighthouse where the Light Keeper's daughter was involved in a love triangle that ended up in a Murder/ Suicide ending for the two men. They claim the lighthouse is haunted.

Just passing this along in hopes it my inspire someone...
