Luckily, there was a nearby bathroom they could use! The only shoots that got me flirty and a bit buzzy were only because I was like that to begin with (plus being a bit tipsy). I've done dozens of boudoir and nude shoots over the past 20 years. Some were housewives doing it for their husbands/boyfriends and some were professional models and porn actresses to added to their portfolio or share with their fans. I certainly got turned on by some of the models and how much they actually enjoyed and were visibly turned on by the experience. And a few of the models recounted how much it turned on their husbands/boyfriends/fans. I even allowed one husband to watch one of his wife's more explicit shoots, which turned her on more than usual.

However, I never became involved with a model, even if I REALLY wanted to. My professionalism and their trust in me is why many models returned for multiple shoots, with each shoot getting more open and wilder than the previous one. One model I shot, starting out for her and her husband but turning into pics for her online site, returned for over 10 shoots half-day and full-day shoots, resulting in over 3,000 pics. Only recently did she share that she wanted me to fuck her after many of our shoots. My loss but still, with the closeness we shared in that many shoots I still feel like I won.

I had several models, mostly professional, who told me horrific stories of being sexually harassed during or after their shoots by the photographers. One was a Playboy model who also had a successful, rising career on the former Playboy Radio on Sirius. She quit Playboy, both modeling and radio, after two terrible encounters. We met in passing at a restaurant after all of this and she thanked me for my professionalism. It deeply touched me after hearing of her experiences.

A few wannabe models would tell me of feeling anxious about certain photographers or presented situations but still went and felt lucky they got out when things started to be very uncomfortable and before anything terrible happened. I always told models that if you have a bad feeling about a photographer after meeting or talking to them to listen to your gut and don't go...better safe than sorry. It's sad that there are people out there who are looking to take advantage of young, näive models who are only looking to break into the business. Just because they're okay with getting naked in front of the camera doesn't mean they're open to or giving consent to sex behind it.

And having done some acting in Hollywood myself many years ago, I can tell you that the casting couch is alive and well. I had agents, casting directors, and even producers -- mostly gay men -- promise me work in return for sleeping with them. (One even went further than that and said he'd represent me if I moved in to his house, slept with him, AND took care of his tea cup poodles!)
