Has Trump really united the Democrats?

Many liberals are still smarting over the 2016 presidential primary -- a system they argued was rigged against Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vermont, in favor of the establishment favorite, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

So, even though Trump is being roundly criticized for his Charlottesville remarks, has a 38% approval rating and is losing support from Republicans, Democrats must contend with their own internal problems.

Last month, Democrats unveiled their policy goals called "A Better Deal," but it was not embraced by many liberal Democrats, and a Quinnipiac University poll showed that 54% of Americans hadn't heard about it. Part of the problem for Democrats is that the spotlight is fixed solely on Trump these days, making it difficult for other political news to break through.

But for all of the controversy swirling around Trump, the Republican National Committee is outpacing the DNC in the critical measurement of fundraising. The latest Federal Election Commission reports show that the RNC has nearly $44 million cash-on-hand, while the DNC has $7.5 million in the bank but is also burdened by $3.3 million of debt.

The DNC has lost it's mind if they think they can create a new message by next election cycle that will let them win elections.

"A better deal"? THAT'S the message?

It's so rife with idiocy that NO ONE takes it seriously. It's why they are behind in fund raising. Their members have moved on to the social equivalent of burning crosses. Except they aren't burning them in yards, they're burning them in the public square while the police take selfies to prove they were there too.

It scares me that the DNC and prog's can't see the horror they've created. What do you think all those antifa and SJW's are going to do when they run out of statues? Go home and peacefully watch Monday night football?

No, they're going to do what brownshirts have always done, they're going to start cleaning up their neighborhoods. Starting with the neighbors. You know, people like me. But don't worry, if you just wait awhile and they'll eventually get to your house too.

Lunatics. You've started WWIII and don't even know it. Worse you did it HERE, in the land of tolerance and assimilation. Which is the most despicable thing anyone could even conceive, including Satan himself.

Congratulations on enabling the future extermination of mankind in the name of tolerance. At least you'll be remembered as doing SOMETHING in your miserable lives. Oh wait, there won't be anyone left to remember you when you're finished.

Did I mention you're all lunatics...

We need to pull the driver out of the clown car first. Then the people can focus on pulling things together to deal with Pence (and his wife).

But . . . Obama . . . Hillary.

Yeah, you might as well try deflection; nothing else about this administration is working right.

Double post--but it's probably worth posting twice anyway. :D

You don't get it. Which only points out what I said to be true.

IT WILL NEVER STOP!

You want to "pull the driver out of the clown car". Ok, who's next in the name of "pulling things together".

Pence when he doesn't do what you want?
Then Ryan?
Then whoever takes over from the DNC after the ballot box stuffing in 2020? Pelosi? Warren?

What do you do when THEY don't "pull things together"?

And what do you think the "other side" is going to do while you go all lynch mob? Cower at home and hope you march down the next street over instead of theirs?

Lunacy.

Ah, yes, (nods head). Another deflection Whataboutism.

All the Democrats really need to do at the moment is sit and watch the Republicans tearing each other apart.

I hope you enjoy watching the Republicans "tearing each other apart" as much I enjoy watching the Democrats civil war.

Civil war has broken out inside the Democratic party. Does the future belong to the populist left or the centrists?

If (perish the thought!) I was a centrist on the DNC I'd probably think something like: "Even weak Hillary won the popular vote and only lost by a few tens of thousands in a few counties. We should just keep on doing what we've been doing only more so. Keep the corporate money flowing in!"

Alas, that follows the Dummies losing most states and Congress to the Guppies over the last decade. Gups have gerrymandered their way to long-term legislative control. Same-old-same-old ain't gonna get the Dums back in power. Will Gups disintegrate, leaving a power vacuum for Dums to fill? Yeah right.

Wrong. Good people don't march with Nazis, Klansmen, and similar traitors.

Yes, I do. The Democrats have a couple of years to get their shit together. The Republicans lost their shit a year ago and are just sinking deeper in it.

For a second time someone from the Charlottesville area has shown to the world how odious Donald Trump is--today it was the mother of a victim Trump equated to the white supremacists who murdered her. Last year it was Gold Family Kahns. (Yes, they live in Charlottesville too).

I don't think The Donald will be visiting Chalottesville anytime soon even though he has a winery and a humongous house here (which he had to turn into a hotel when he tried to put in a golf course and the neighbors told him to go to hell).

Reality is that there are too few hamlets of dense Democrat population for their "popular" vote to equal electoral outcomes once they decided that they did not want to represent the uneducated white blue collar voter.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2017/01/20/how_trump_won_--_conclusions_132846.html

When they keep reaching out to touch that part of America with their new rules of behavior, they bar the gate for a return to the fold and harm their chances to make inroads back into the electoral map. It has become the party of two strips on each coast and a few major cities.

"Roundly condemned for Charlottesville remarks"? He's "roundly condemned" by the media for EVERYTHING HE SAYS OR DOES, how is that any different than anything else he's "roundly condemned" for? Further, a majority of rank and file Republicans support the "remarks." The GOP establishment is the one in peril for siding with the radical liberal groups trying to destroy free speech.

Secondly, his "approval" had shot back up late last week to the mid-40s in two polls. This was ignored by the MSM. Everyone knows these polls have ALWAYS under-represented Republicans and right-leaning independents consistently over the past two years. So, big woop.

The establishment Republicans who are attacking him are the ones in peril, yet they continue to fail to understand that they are THE MINORITY WING OF THEIR OWN PARTY. Despite media lies and propaganda, national populists and alternative voters, are the majority of Republican voters. Conservatives, neo-conservatives, RINO's, and the rest of the "wings" are not. They do have a small base, but not enough to win nationality which Romney, McLame, and others have proven. Trump and the populists did win. The GOP is the one losing support by obstructing our President.

Further, back to this "approval rating" thing. Its interesting the media loves to quote this, like they love to quote any poll that goes their way. However, they simply ignore polls that don't go their way.

Polls show overwhelming public support for preserving Confederate monuments and flags, among ALL Americans (all races, regions including former Union areas, political parties, etc) at close to a 2 to 1 margin (62% for keeping the monuments and another 11% undecided). YET LITTLE MENTION OF THIS IN THE MEDIA.

He's "roundly condemned" by the media for EVERYTHING HE SAYS OR DOES,

Not strongly enough. The Orangutan is a buffoon that needs to be fully shamed into seclusion so that he's never heard from again. The last year or so must be made to be the lowest point in his pathetic life and he must be made to fully regret ever filing candidacy papers.

It's irrelevant.

Evelyn Beatrice Hall: "I disapprove with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it".

Whatever happened to that?

The girth on freedoms is being tightened, and the Left is burying itself - for it has been the one feeling a need to fight for it for ages - and burying us all with them.

It's irrelevant.
Quite relevant. Opposition to racism, sexism, insurrection, treason is not morally equivalent to those evils. The US and the world fought and won a war against Nazis. My uncle died fighting that evil. Do NOT tell me that Nazi scum are not evil.

And armed thugs physically intimidating others, like those at a synagogue in C-ville, are not just exercising free speech. They're terrorists, imposing fear on others. Smashing someone over the head or driving a car into a crowd surely sends a message -- are those your ideas of "free speech"? That's what campaigning Tromp has urged his followers to inflict on opponents. Does a baseball bat make a good debating device? How shall we argue?

I believe you are quite confused. It was the antfa who were swinging the baseball bats, not the white supremacists. You equate YOU OWN MORAL WRONGS to those who you dislike and cover up the fact that IT IS YOU and those WHO THINK LIKE YOU DO who are in the wrong here.

Which is pretty par for the course for Liberals.

Even Charlie Cooke over at NRO (the HQ for the Republican anti-Trump voices) is saying enough is enough and we need to start putting limits on free speech. That could be chilling because while it starts with a tiny movement (which is not all Nazi, not enough of them, but it makes a great label) then what group, individual will the CTRL-Left focus on next? If they can, they will shut down conservative speech by using the threat of violence because we are falling prey to the fallacy that it is justified to employ violence against hate. We have seen many examples of the Left labeling perfectly innocuous speech on the part of not only individuals, but peaceful groups such as the TEA Party who also had the CTRL-Left applying labels such as Racist and Nazi to them as well as describing their message as hate speech.

It's a carefully knitted fix.

My worry is, high dollar people like Soros who finance all this shit, think themselves philanthropists, and do not realize, they are actually committing the biggest grievance against humanity and themselves...

But, they got educated people like hard Rom and KingOrfeo supporting them.

The blind leading the deceived blind.
