Has the Newness of Chat Worn Off?

Haven't visited it yet...

I'm still trying to get my head around Chyoo...

The Lit' forum chat doesn't appear to be very AOL user friendly.
(Copied and pasted from the irc help page)

You need a current version of America Online (Version 6.0).
You need AOL's WINSOCK.DLL file. (Trumpet Winsock.dll will NOT work.)
When you upgrade to the AOL Winsock, immediately locate the old windock.dll and rename it winsock.aol because the upgrade does not rename or delete the old winsock.dll file. Failure to do so may cause problems!! Also, after upgrading the winsock.dll, restart your computer and always connect to AOL before starting mIRC.
. Be sure to download and install the 16-bit version of mIRC (the one with the letter "s" in the file name).

Just a guess, but I think most people who are regulars here are "bb people" at heart, or they'd already have been participating in the Lit chat that has been here forever. I know some participate in both, but it seems like most of us have a distinct preference between one or the other.

Don't use AOL's browser, use Netscape or IE. I never use AOL's IE for anything. It fucks up graphics and pages look like shit anyway.

I never really liked chat all that much to begin with so i never use it
