HAS SOMEONE LOST THEIR BALLS ?

What if you and the Division Commander both put it in the hands of God?

Does God love you better?
There's an old saying that I remember growing up hearing (as well as to this day): GOD DON'T LIKE UGLY.
What could have the Commanders put in God's hands? I did nothing more than what was required of me. I would go in to work overtime at last minute notice but I can't be granted a watch change. And to make it worst, it is given to someone who is not an employee but only "extra manpower" to our division. Everyone in our division saw the wrong that was being done to me. But no, Darling, I would never say that God loves me over anyone else. That would be a very selfish thing to think.

This sounds like a guy with a very low self asteem. His only thrill is to send out anonymous letters to several writers (you may not be the only one) in hope that it would piss them off or make them feel "low". Like they say, "Misery love company".

Here is probably the best example of the use of prayer during war:

Almighty and most merciful Father, we humbly beseech Thee, of Thy great goodness, to restrain these immoderate rains with which we have had to contend. Grant us fair weather for Battle. Graciously hearken to us as soldiers who call upon Thee that, armed with Thy power, we may advance from victory to victory, and crush the oppression and wickedness of our enemies and establish Thy justice among men and nations.

prepared and delivered Dec 8, 1944 by Chaplain James H. O'Neill under orders from General George S. Patton

That is one of my most favorite movies. I've always loved that prayer, too. Used a tape recorder to record that prayer from the TV when the movie was on back in the days before video!

Cheyenne...you rock.

Patton is one of my all time favorites. The man was a prick, but he knew how to win. I love the opening speech.

Me, too! It is second to the weather prayer, though. I think I was about 12 or 13 when this movie came out. I love the music, too. Somewhere in our family is a Patton soundtrack record.

PC, what the hell are you talking about now? Has the damn Prozac worn out with you again?

That's nothing new. I've seen it all of the time.

I guess that it's only odd to someone who hasn't experienced such a matter, Laurel.

What was the topic of this thread again?

:p
