The posts here at literotica personals are not really personals at all? What is the deal, there are other threads for every question posted here. Can someone explain? Just wondering if anyone else realizes the lost potential for people to meet.

Careful, once you start making sense on the internet, all of reality will collapse on itself.

I'm not sure if an adult on-line community is the best place to look for something to believe in.;)

Seriously, though, in response to your query about the host of threads that aren't actually personals--most of us here have posted at least one personal. If you look hard enough, you'll find them. It just takes a bit of wading through all of the other threads about things you may or may not care about.

And believe it or not, some of us do meet.;)

many, many times I have noticed....

as for discreetplay.... I guess he is one of the lucky (and I suspect "few" ones).....

yep, it's kinda lame, but the fact is that this site isn't really set up to be a personals site. the search criteria aren't very specific and draw no distinction between people looking and people just wanting to chat. many of the users are lurkers who never put much about themselves in their descriptions, and finaly since personal ads are treated as simple posts they simply fall off of the board because no one ever replies to them. true: it should be simple for people to post their non-personal messages in "the playground" rahter than the section labeled "literotica personals" but if no one complains then there is no reason to stop it. I don't really know what the point of me typing this was.

personals???

I think if we really wanted to meet someone,we wouldn't be sitting at our keyboards. The lit is the modern one-night-stand. A wild, but safe ride.

First of all, if you want response to a personal ad it is a good thing to completely fill out your profile, and give a general location of where you are.

Second, alot of people get responses via pm. I know that the ones that I answer I generally do with a pm. Simply because I don't want my business all over the board.

Third, lots of people who post on Lit, meet lots of other people who post on Lit. I know that because I have personally met quite a number of people from here. But sex is not the first thing on the agenda with most.

Fourth, get off the personal board and over to the playground and find some threads that interest you and start posting. Give people a chance to get to know you.

So if you want a response to your personal ad, then try following these suggestions.
