Has anyone made the leap to self publishing?

After the technical struggles on this site I’ve considered just self publishing my novel. I’ve written quite a bit of it and right now I’m having a really good time working on it, perhaps the most fun I’ve had in a while. But I’m struggling so much with that moderation that it’s kind of getting in the way of my enjoyment of it.

Any advice?

Yes, I and many others here have done so.
But, your story is still in the works. So my advice is to wait until the story is complete and ready to publish, and then see how things have shaken out here.

It is clear by recent site changes that our non-communicative webmasters are working on the site which is encouraging. At least we have that bit of assurance that there is someone at the wheel.

Keep on, keeping on and see the lay of the land when it's done. That's my advice. I'll add this though, unless you have the time and material to self-publish with frquency, there's little to be gained by doing so. You might make a buck or two. You need to continue putting out new stories every month of so, to get your name out there and build up a reader base.
