Not sure my response is any use to you, but hey it's a response!!
I'm female and only recently moved anal from a hard limit to a lets try then reconsider!! My One had me insert a plug and leave it there for an hour to start, the next day 2 hours etc and only in the house, to see if i had any adverse effects. It can cause cramping and flatulence, not idea for first time outside in one!!

The one thing I have found is, if you don't get the right size you will find that as you're walking out of wherever you put it in, it may start coming back out!!I enjoy using one from time to time, just because I enjoy doing such things that are not to be done.
for me the bigger around the better feeling I have, but if the space above the base of your "toy" is to big you may find that it may be diffecult to keep it inside of you. Hi, it was around the same size, maybe closer to 2" at its widest, it stayed in pretty well, although i did wear a thong to help it, part of the attraction for me was the thought it would "pop" out, increasing my embarrassment and love of being humiliated!!
As long as you feel comfy in it go for it, as i say just take a plastic bag with you in case you need to pop the loo and remove it.

Try everything twice before deciding if its for you or not!!

I concur with oldcalhippie. Wear it out to dinner, shopping, all day on a weekend day etc. Shysub412 had an excellent point also; eventually you will have to have a BM while you have the plug in and knowing how to handle the odor and mess quickly and discreetly may take some practice.
