If so, what was it like? Is there anyone here who hasn't gone, but is interested? If so, what are your reasons for being interested?

I always thought Hedonism to be a state of mind.

.

Never been, but my cynical side tells me it would be a huge disappointment. Their website and brochures make it seem like the Playboy Mansion. I imagine a m to f ratio of 99 to 1, with snow birds wearing sandals and black dress socks. I'm sure some people enjoy themselves, but it seems kind of smarmy to me.

And, it's in Jamaica. That's reason enough not to leave the resort

Miles, what the hells does the fact that it's Jamaica, have to do with anything? Care to explain that remark?

Minxie, never been, all I know, which is very little, is what I see on TV about it. Is everyone LYING about how good a time they are having? I doubt it.

My 2¢

Hedonism 2

Minx, my wife and I have been twice and will be going again this October. Hedo is what you want it to be, if you want to find a 99 to 1 male to female ratio, you'll find it. Its a VERY sexual place and the sex is there if thats what you go for. Single guys don't have it so good, it's mostly for couples and single women. Only a few single guys get invited to play. Feel free to PM or e-mail me with questions.

I'm not Miles, but I think he was referring to Jamaica's unrest and civil strife. "Rich" Americans walking the street are constant targets for crime. Not just steal your purse shit either. I've heard a lot of bad stuff happening on the island.

Crime in Jamaica

I know when I worked in Travel, Jamaica was very popular but there were lots of warnings about the crime. Once you leave a resort you can have lots of problems with street beggers too.

Mexico isn't real safe either. I was in travel four years go and there were stories in the news then that 25 people a day were being abducted in Mexico. Jamaica was high on the list of crimes against tourists.

The economy of the country is usually the biggest reason behind the crime.

There are swinger theme cruises also if you are interested in that, but I don't have any info on them.

There are plenty of all inclusive resorts in Jamaica that will also provide shuttles to and from other points of interest.

Unless you really, truly know your way around Jamaica, or any place for that matter, the only smart thing to do is stay on the resort property and use the shuttle services.

Stay with your tour groups, your guides etc. You'd be fucking amazed at how many people, despite the warnings they're given will wander away on their own.

I've never been to Hedo. Anyone wanna take me?

It sounds like it would be a fun place to go, if you are uninhibited. If I had the money, I wouldn't mind taking a trip there, just to watch... ;)

As a single guy who regularly goes there....

I have never been to this " Hedonism" but I don't think I would care to go ...

I have also seen the ads in magazines and some commercials and while the islands where they are look pretty... I don't know about the crowd.

I think I will just stick to my regular " non - hedonism" get a ways. :)
