Has anyone else been hearing from this person?

I received an e-mail last night asking about a commission piece. Nothing uncommon for me and I imagine many of you. What prompted me to come here is this is the sixth time this person has reached out to me in the last year despite me giving a hard no each time.

The content they want-and I believe in to each their own and being commission lit's rules have no bearing, its about what you feel comfortable with- is nothing I would touch...this is the 'guidelines'

Those interested to write must be ok writing themes of hard sex, non-consensual sex, pregnancy and explicit childbirth scenes. Article has strong erotica and supernatural themes.

TBH I have never know explicit childbirth scenes to be erotic in any way, especially when coupled with the other requests apparently the kink here is a woman forced to give birth and in excruciating pain and in great detail...makes me feel there is more than a little touch of disturbed in this scenario, but whatever floats your boat.

But the offer has increased each time and they keep coming back despite my repeating this is not my thing and I'll pass. This time I just came out and told them to take the hint and lose my e-mail.

But it makes me wonder if he keeps coming back to me if he's been hitting up other authors and not getting any bites as his persistence and increased $$$ seem to indicate.

Also It seems odd they'd reach out to me as I have no Non human stories here or any story featuring what they're looking for, you'd think they'd hit up NH authors.

I know the people here are only a fraction of lit authors o the odds would be against it being anyone else here, but a lot of us are on the popular lists so I figured I'd ask.

I haven't heard from the requestor, but I presume he's been deeply affected by watching Rosemary's Baby. As to why he's hitting on you? Really? Lovecraft? With the pentagram and goat avatar?

That AV is new, he first contacted me months ago. :D

Rosemary's Baby....I hadn't made that connection, interesting. Polanski certainly brings non consensual and forced to the forefront....and then there's the movie.

That's why I asked the question here, I wondered if he were making the rounds or for some reason was fixated on me. I did have a couple of EH stories here that did well, but they were pulled years ago and didn't contain any of what he wants.

Must just like the way you write.

I have people asking me to do non-con, cheating, humiliation, etc. on a regular basis when my work contains almost none of it.

Maybe that's it, lucky me.

I have noticed that Non con seems to be the most requested and I only have one NC story and its from 2012 and I think kind of sucks. I do get my share of taboo requests which I understand, but a disturbing amount of those involve non con.

This is what I really like, when they start off with a simple, do you do commissions? I reply yes, if the idea appeals to me, I then always add that I won't write Non consent. More than half the time they come back with the idea and its...non consent:rolleyes:

I can only think of once where they've asked if I do commissions first. Most of the time, if they mention compensation at all, it's to make the offer after a long, detailed, and sometimes disturbing fantasy they want me to write.

Most of the time, the outline is so detailed that it's only a few flourishes away from a story as is. Doesn't leave you much to work with. More stenography than creativity, and thus not very appealing, even if the idea doesn't give me the heebie-jeebies.

I've had that, I've told people they should just take a shot at writing it themselves, and you're right, when they give you that much its hard to have room to do your thing.

It is a little unnerving how many dark requests I get, not that I'm not into some dark things, but most of my writing doesn't reflect the sadism they're looking for.

On my Patreon I've let people know up front how much I'd charge for a commission (ten cents a word). Keeps the number of applicants manageable.
