Has anybody else ever noticed this?

Currently, I have two stories and two poems in pending status. For the poems, the word "pending" is in blue and when I put my cursor on it, I see that I could open it if I wanted, which I don't. That is not the case with the stories, though. If I wanted to open the stories to make some change, say to correct a typo in the name or description, I couldn't. Can anybody tell me why this should be so?

In the past, I have, on unusual occasions, opened a pending story to make a change but I couldn't do so now, even if I wanted to.

BL, that's one of the new changes that's taken place over the last few weeks (months) and has been around since the severely increased time it's taken to accept stories once they've been submitted. I didn't know about the discrepancy between stories and poems in the "can't fucking edit it" status though...that is just damn odd.

I don't submit poems so I wouldn't know about the 'pending' status. The 'can't fucking edit it' status is damn frustrating though in the stories section. Especially when you spot a spelling error in an already submitted story!! Aaaaggghhhhh.

Now, here's another thing that seems strange. I just looked at my index to see if anything had gone from pending to postied and this is what it said:

Username: Boxlicker101
Submissions: 187
Last Submission: 08/12/05

The number of submissions is unchanged but the date of the last one has changed from Aug. 8 to Aug. 12. It's early in the morning of Aug. 11 right now, by the way. I looked at the stories and found one that is listed as pending but it has a date of 8/12/05, meaning it was posted tomorrow. I suuppose it will be posted sometime this afternoon.

But seriously ... it's not just the story submission snafu's. There's been quite a bit of neglect ongoing here for the past few weeks & it makes me wonder what's going on.

First, all the banner ads changed (that 2257 stuff, I figure).

The Nude Day thread is STILL a sticky -- and those are usually unstuck as soon as the contest ends.

June's category nominees have STILL not been announced, and it's nearing the cut off for July's voting.

It all adds up to ... what? Inquiring minds wanna know.

My guess would be it's summer. People have obligations to do things while kids are out of school, I think, other than thanksgiving/christmas, you have more family functions in summer than any other time.

I hope it is merely something of that nature at least.

OK, the story was posted about 6PM, on the 11th. There were some trolls waiting for it to immediately drop one-bombs.

I fall into the "fuck, made a boo boo" cat with my recently submitted story.

Poor Lit is going to have a heart attack when the waiting list doubles because every re-submitted with a message in the notes box. Seems to defeat the purpose.

I submitted a story with some unusual spelling (it was deliberate) and it got rejected So I just pulled it.

Well, it's happening again. The time is 10:47, PDT on August 17. I have a new story that is listed as pending with a posting date of 8/19/2005. I suppose that at the location where this was approved it might be after midnight but that would still be only august 18. Oh, well. Just as long is it gets posted.
