Court of Appeals in New York threw out the conviction of sexual predator Harvey Weinstein.
He is a free man as of today.
Court held judge improperly allowed accusations that were not part of criminal charges to be introduced as "evidence".
DA office vows to retry the case.

is he not in prison for the other case/s against him, one of which he was sentenced to 16 years?

the DA(?) intends to retry this overturned case, brought about by the inclusion of information that shouldn't have gone before the jury, apparently

Not hardly. The question is does this help Diddy and the rest of Hollywood who are presently in the DOJ crosshairs for similar crimes?

The trial was unfair because the prosecution had too many witnesses who testified that the rapist who was on trial for rape had also raped them. We can't have that! But it's OK, he also has a 16 year sentence in California to look forward to.

It all comes down to more pay-days for attorneys, and no lawyer is going to vote down those.

The whole industry was going to shut down if they got to more child sex crimes. Apparently Polansky -- who drugged, raped, and sodomized a thirteen-year-old -- was just the first of many.

Yes, he isn't free. He is serving time in California for that crime. Only the NY case is affected.

No, get-out-of-jail card for him.

The California conviction is being appealed as well - and on similar grounds…

šŸ˜‘

To make things even more interesting - the attorney representing that disgusting pig is the same one that got the Bill Cosby conviction overturned…

šŸ˜‘

On a more positive note, from what I heard on a news report, California’s laws are a bit clearer on this type of case - and not to the disgusting pig’s advantage.

šŸ™‚

We shall see…

Well, even if he gets out now or soon, his life has been made mince meat and he's gotten a very good taste of prison life. He's at the end of his life.

One of my go-to blogs agrees with you:
When I saw the raid on Diddy's two properties, I knew that it was fallout from the decision to allow people with claims of sexual abuse from way back when, to get to file suits. Diddy's lawyers said as much in response to the raids.

The alleged reasons for this extension of limitation was to get pedo priests and Trump. Russell Simmons saw the writing on the wall and broke the hell out of the USA to a non-extradition country, making sure nobody from his past could file charges against him for things he either did not do or were done consensually at the time but could now generate income for those who suddenly find themselves aggrieved.

As we know, Diddy has had 3 suits filed against him. I believe 2 have been settled and settled QUICKLY. The swiftness of the settlements leave the skeptical person thinking there was fire to that smoke.

I saw that today on the news, its disgusting. I originally thought hes got away but just a retrial, hopefully this time when hes found guilty hes put away for good.

It's being reported that Queen Bey and Oprah could be involved in this sex trafficking crap.

This must have your panties twisted. Who do you hate more? The US government or Hollywood?

In my view, a lot of NGOs are going to get tagged. It may simply be that they attract people who are inclined toward abusing their positions of power. Remember the UN rape scandal?

One wonders if the suggestions that Diddy is a federal informant are true.
If he's an informant, I bet he has the dirt on a lot of people. Could be a smart play by the FBI. Civil courts are going to clobber him regardless, then be reversed or reduced on appeal.

They say his mansions were rigged with complete security camera coverage and that he had tons of video that could incriminate politicians and the Hollywood elite dozens of whom had participated in his wild drug and sex-crazed parties. If he goes to jail he too will probably "hang" himself. All the FBI may be interested in is seizing the evidence for future leverage against the powerful.

My personal favorite theory is that Jeff Epstein subbed in a body double, swapped the DNA and dental records, then had that guy whacked while he went to Uruguay for plastic surgery before moving to his new paradise ranch in southern Iceland. Could be wrong though.

the rapist is currently under custody in Bellevue, undergoing a battery of health tests for stuff like sleep apnea, cardiac issues, diabetes and eye problems.

Attorney Arthur Aidala said Weinstein was moved to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan after his arrival on Friday to city jails.
the lawyer says his client was treated badly during the transition to an upstate jail only 24 hours after being in court when it might normally take a week to arrange; what did he think was to happen, that his client should walk free despite being in custody still? he says his client wasn't allowed bathroom breaks, food or even 'a sip of water'.

he also says that, despite his 'train-wreck' physical health that his client is 'mentally sharp as a tack'; we all know that hospital is most likely a cushier place to be than a jail cell.

this article, however, says he's in the medical facility at Rikers but not if he ever was taken to Bellevue so i don't know what the facts are here; is Bellevue a part of the Rikers Island correctional health facilities?

The 72-year-old former Hollywood powerhouse was transferred from Mohawk Correctional Facility, about 42 miles from Syracuse, New York, to a medical ward at Rikers in New York City.
