It's gone midnight here in Britland, so I can safely start this thread.

Valentine greetings to all my loved ones, but especially to Mindy. The love of my life, the woman who has given meaning to my life, and love to my heart.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!

Hubby and I bought treats for our kids, chocolate kisses and stuffed bears and thousands of marbles. (So they are into marbles this week - who knew?)

They have parent/teacher conferences this week, thus no school Wed-Fri. So my folks are taking the kids to spoil them for the next few days.

Hubby and I are not exchanging expensive gifts but we are having a quiet dinner out tomorrow evening. Nothing fancy, nothing overtly expensive, just dinner someplace quiet. And alone.

And after we get home, there's a new couch in the living room that needs to be christened.

(When the kids are away, the parents will play . . . )

Sounds like a great way to celebrate, Sarah.

I was informed last night, that today is going to be a stay at home day, a lazy morning (long lie in, long luxurious and leisurely bath, late breakfast, maybe a walk along the shore), and a not so lazy afternoon and evening. I can hardly wait to see what the gosling means by the phrase 'not so lazy'.

Surely Sarah and I can't be the only romantics out there? Not after all the interest in the competition??

I'll work and then spend the evening with wifey...trying to do something a little different , so I bought about six DVD's that are all love stories, a bunch of movie candy and some popcorn...gonna put it all in a big red bag and bring home that and some flowers...

Well hubby and I have swopped cards and boxes of chocolates. He's got me a lovely tin of my favourite orgasm chocolates (Lindor from Lindt) and I bought him a bag of his favourite Viennesse truffles and my daughter and I made a pretty box to put them in

My husband gave me a website too, awww it's so sweet. it says "mit loves you" in the website adress. He's such a sweet geek! It's got lyics and poems and funnies on it and a story -I'm not allowed to read that till Beth goes to Nursery though! I wrote him a story, and he's saving it too.


Beth's off to Nursery in a bit, so hubby and I get some alone time *ewg* and then when Beth gets back from nursery there will be some valentine's surprises for her (I'm not giving her chocolate now, she'll only want to eat it*L*) and then we'll make some Valentine's day biscuits. (heart shaped) and I'm cooking steak (hobs favourite) for tea.


This evening I think we'll snuggle on the sofa and watch something romantic

Happiest of Valentines Everyone!!
Today wont be the most romantic, hubby is exhausted from working so much.
I will however try to change things a little if he can stay up late enough. You know when you have teenagers they tend to be able to stay up later than us old folk! lol

Sent off a card in his lunch pail for him to get a breakfast break, hope they dont tease him too much! lol

I dont have the car today so Im hoping my boss wont mind stopping by the store on the way back to her place for me to pick something up for him.

Since the kids are older, they got a chocolate covered marshmallow heart- Ihate those things, but they were two for a buck at the dollar store! lmao!
We did take them out on the weekend for lunch and some shopping so they arent going out empty handed.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone and an especial mention for Mat and Mindy who deserve the love they have.

A quiet day for me. My wife is working, my car is being serviced and the garden needs attention while the sun shines.

We will be going out for a meal together but not today when everywhere is crowded and overpriced. We'll have an 'official' Valentine's Day meal when the restaurants are quiet (and the food is better). After 33 years we have learned that exercising patience can make for a better experience...

J. is still fast asleep. We took the day off together today (although I still have to go to school for 2 hours). For him, I made a large poster-board with our pictures and excerpts of love letters glued on it, in a collage, and then I cut it into puzzle pieces. I'm going to have him follow clues to find the pieces around the house. I don't know what he's doing for me . . . but, I'm excited to find out. I know we're going out to dinner and a movie tonight, but he's been working away at something homemade and I can't wait to find out what it is.
