I’ve met a handful of women on lit that are moms, are a mom-like figure to others, or have been unable to have children of their own for various reasons.
Extending a hug to those that strive to be mothers
those with fragile relationships with their mothers
those with strained relationships with their children
those who have lost their mothers
those who have lost their children
those who have decided not to have children
those who have lost the mothers to their child(ren)
those who advocate on behalf of mothers, especially in a place like the US where we lack almost any policy or comprehensive medical system to truly protect new mothers
Motherhood has taught me just how much my mom had to sacrifice in order to balance work and kid care. Oh, is also taught me just how much most kids TV shows suck.
