This is a thread devoted to love, friendship, and happiness. The only reason missing someone hurts so much is because of the joy they bring you when you are together.

I'm sitting here thinking about everything she has brought to me in an incredibly short period of time, and I can feel my sadness lift. Monday is so close now.

If you have any happy thoughts, post them here.
If you have any negative thoughts, post them here too. I'll just ignore them. I'm too busy thinking about her to let them bother me.

Nitey

Boy, looks like you tapped into a vein of neverending happiness around here. LOL

It's a sad reality when threads about depression and loneliness attract more responses than a thread about being happy.

I think I'll go cry in my beer now. ;)

Sheesh, it'd help if sumbuddy around here wuld teech me to spel.

I felt happy for you until I noticed you've posted over 2000 messages in the last three months. How is God's name did you DO that?

You mean you haven't heard about the living legend?

okay, but i won't make a joke of it

i hope i don't sound too much like a dork,

but life is an adventure. sometimes it hurts, sometimes it feels good. people come, we love them, and they go, by growing away, or dying, and sometimes they come back. but you met them and they are now a part of you, they helped to make your adventure something wonderful, love them in your heart and miss them sometimes, but brace yourself: MORE PEOPLE ARE COMING... and you are gonna love them too! you are gonna love them because it is your nature to love and you cannot change what you are.

they are coming

May I quote poetry in this so-unserious place were everything is so nudge-nudge-wink-wink half the time?

THE GOOD LIFE [Mark Strand]

You stand at the window.
There is a glass cloud in the shape of a heart.
The wind's sighs are like caves in your speech.
You are the ghost in the tree outside.

The street is quiet.
The weather, like tomorrow, like your life,
is partially here, partially up in the air.
There is nothing you can do.

The good life gives no warning.
It weathers the climates of despair
and appears, on foot, unrecognized, offering nothing,
and you are there.

Fast fingers and a friendly nature.
Look, there's another one! Boy, how they add up.

To quote MST3000, "Have you got the bird of happiness?" "Well, we've got a pretty friendly chicken..."
Here's hoping all your food/sexual partners are very happy.

Happiness is...

I stood on my tip-toes the other day. This makes me very happy. I guess you had to be there. :)

Wow, it is easier to post to a negative thread than a positive one. Negative ones are often approached, I think, from a position of defense. The walls are up, and ain't no one gettin' through. But if you start talking about happy stuff, the other kids might point and laugh.

Well, nuts to them. It's a gloriously beautiful day, and I'm going out to spend it with my honey. There's also a big orange cat sleeping on my foot and he's just the cutest damned thing ever.

I'm going to go inflict my corniness on the public now. Have a great day, everyone! :D

YES!!

Finally, happy news.

I heard from Cyan, he is well. Working like a dog, but making progress. He says he will hopefully be back (for a little while) Tuesday.

God I feel better. :)

*You are my sunshine when the clouds are grey ..You make me happy So sunshine take my clouds away.....Good thing this is not my day job lol :D

*MUAH*

(How many threads can we post on in one night? I hope we're not breaking any laws...lol)

happy happy happy!

i'm actually normally gushing positive happy stuff, til people look at me like i'm pushing self help, but i'm going to post real quick here b4 i run out of here like a headless chicken :)

life is beautiful, and wonderful
all of you (and me) are beautiful, awesome people
happiness comes from your heart, and when you find it, you find that you've had it all along, and you're tapped in, and the supply almost never runs dry!
share yourself with the world! your time and energy are a rare precious commodity, bestow it on as many people as you can!
share life and love with everyone, everyday
it's all about the love baby!

My father used to tell me...smile and the world will smile with you, frown and you frown all alone... Laughter is the best medicine, and life is too short, so be merry!

One of my greatest joys I have ever been part of was the birth of my grandson
(I can hear the sighs now, sorry). I was never able to witness my own children's births as I had C-sections for both, but natural child birth is a miracle waiting to be witnessed. A great memory I will treasure for the rest of my life.

Happiness is watching my grandson learn to do something new each day, the look of shock that he was able to do something or figure something out. The look of joy on his face when we are outside and he spies a butterfly or a bird or watches a plane crossing thru the sky. Examining plants and bugs. Scuffing thru the leaves, jumping in muddle puddles. Isn't life great?!?!?!?
