I hope y'all have a relaxed, comfortable, and tasty Thanksgiving. No politics, except lighthearted razzing. A good game or a good book or whatever turns you on today. With some spice thrown in. ;) :)

Yep, on top of a mountain on a clear day, with views almost to Washington, D.C. in one direction and to West Virginia in another--sitting here, keying a story, and letting others do all of the Thanksgiving preparation. Hope your Thanksgiving is good too.

Bah. Humbug.

No, wait. Wrong holiday.

Happy Thanksgiving, all and sundry. :)

(And I'm so tempted to ask our Russian friends if they are having Turkey for Thanksgiving, buuut....)

Happy Thanksgiving from a beach in Mexico.

No Turkey. Tamales with chili and cheese and a nice green salad.

Happy Thanksgiving All.

(Pilot, I didn't steal your sense of humor. I found it hiding on the Politics forum, shriveled and whimpering that it hadn't been fed since 1996. Here it is, feed it the left over turkey and a bit of cranberry chutney, and exercise it a bit.)

Snow surrounds me. Y'know that JINGLE BELLS was originally a Thanksgiving song, right? Back before human-induced global warming. Back when North American winters were cold.

Late but Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow AH Turkeys.

Yesterday was great because we didn't do any work. My sister and I trade off and this year she had yesterday. But I have Christmas so that one will be work.

I'm recovering from T-giving. We live a nine or so hour drive from relatives. The trip is usually a way to avoid having to go at Christmas, since there is less chance of bad weather.

The food isn't that good. There's always blood relatives that only see each other then because they have to. There's always in-laws that don't particularly like other in-laws or other relatives. Kids can be annoying.

We have to drive down on Thanksgiving Day due to work. Both of our families traditionally eat the meal at noon. We can't get there in time, so they delay the meal just for us, this makes everyone ever so happy.

Then M-I-L tears down the turkey to the bone, complaining all the time about the job, just so she can push more of the over cooked meat and horrible slimy dressing on all that are leaving. While saving yet more for us when we leave.

Then sis in law, sis, and the monsters that came out of them, drag my better half out to shop on Friday. That makes for a not so happy better half, but family dynamic insists this is the custom.

So they come back and tell stories all about the sights and sounds and coups and fails they saw, while the monsters go and model the dresses they'll never again wear. All so Father in Law, Brother in Law, and me miss the last quarter of the Iowa - Nebraska game. At least Iowa won. Go Hawkeyes. Not that I'm a fan, but if I have to watch a game I'd like to see the end.

Better Half and I escape early on Saturday so we have a day of relaxation to cut out edible pieces of the left overs that've been foisted on us. The dog loves them.

At least this year there was only driving rain and fog to contend with on the drive, rather than ice and sleet as we had last year. And this year we had siri to guide us over the back roads.

So what I'm grateful for is that the holiday is over, and that we get to stay home for Christmas. Bah Humbug.

Thank Goodness for global warming! Bring it on! I hate the cold. :D

Happy Thanksgiving (A little late, I was out of town) and Happy whatever holidays ya'll celebrate as well.
