My greatgrandparents on my mother's side were from Ireland, so today I consider myself all Irish.

Anybody else out there want to own up to their heritage?

Gee. My insane greatgrandfather on my father's side was from Scotland. Go figure.:confused:
 
I am descended from O'Brien's and my family were in Ireland 3 generations ago.

Isn't it a grand day? :rose:
 
My great grandparents on my dad's side came from Kilkenny...my mom always said my Grandma Bailey was as Irish as Paddy's Pig.

I have roots in County Donegal, so I'm celebrating today as an Irishman. Lamb stew and potatoes, a shot of Bushmill's and a pint of Guiness will round out the fare.

I'll be wearing black in mourning for the poor snakes that St. Patrick, ruthlessly and without a thought to how it would affect the eco-system, drove out of Ireland.

Poor snakes. :(

Edited to add: my avatar, of course, has other ideas, but she just thinks she's early for Earth day ;)

Although my heritage is predominantly Scottish, there's some Irish blood mixed in there too. My clan was proscribed when we backed the wrong horse (Bonnie Prince Charlie), so a bunch of us fled to the Emerald Isle and intermarried there. :D
 
Yes, Happy St. Pat's one and all...now let me just sit back and religiously finish off this bottle of Redbreast in honour of the good saint...
 
I'm a mutt, the only strains I'm aware of are the Norwegian and Czech, but on the off chance that one of my ancestors fucked an Irish(wo)man, Happy St. Patrick's Day!
 
Happy Saint Patrick's Day to all. Not a drop of Irish blood in my old veins, but I love the country, and Herself has enough Irish for the both of us.

My grandparents were from County Cork. I'm definitely an Irish good little witch.
