I disagree with the concept behind new year. People talk abot a fresh start. but there is no fresh start. The previous year, for better or worse, does not disapear, it is merely a continuation, another oppuruntiunty to figure out how uou are alone and unwanted on his day. Withut a lass to wink at ye, alone and dying. Lots o fun indeed, no wonder sp a,mumy am ericaans are alcholics/

Today is no different than the days before or the days after. But some enjoy the symbolism of a new year to strengthen their resolve and make changes in their lives. That's pretty much all. New starts are made, not had.

yes the year was nearly abysmal - but - there were points of light that far exceeded the dark... hold onto those - for they are the things that keep you going, they are the stuff of life.

There is a new day coming when the dark and sinister days of the Shrub will be over and the world will shine as 'Yo Momma' takes up the reins of office and will lead us into a new world where Congress will actually care about the 'little People" and the Justice department will go after the Corprocrats and we will all be happy, have health care and be well fed.
