Technically the US does produce more energy than it consumes. It has for a decade. But it's cheaper to import our Oil, and sell their crude overseas. Which leads to a greater profit margin. It will take ten years by some estimates to convert the refineries that run heavy crude to process sweet crude.

About 2/3 of all canadian late model “program” cars go to the usa after they come off lease, because currency profits.

The tariffs will kill that.

So 2-5 year old Honda Cr-V’s etc are going to be EVERYWHERE…. Instead of them selling for 25-35k they’ll drop like a rock over the next 6 mos by about 10 grand.
