Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween one and all. It is the day of ghosties and ghoulies and things that go bump in the night.

Is anybody doing anything special this evening?

I'm just about to carve yet another pumpkin head, then dress my two little girls up as witches. We don't go trick or treating, but we do go and see my Mum and Dad, they always appreciate the fright.

I've got dog training tonight, so I might get Billy into the Halloween spirit and put a pair of horns on him.

Halloween is always special here. One of my inlaws has a birthday today, so there is a spooky family party where even the old folks usually dress up. Best year was when Grandpa dressed as a Gorilla and then someone pointed out that the had obviously bought the LADIES Gorilla costume. I told him to just tell everyone they were 'pecs'.

We'll have some fun. We've also lost a few family members in the last few years and will remember them as well.

Still have one pumpkin to go.

Tonight of course my daughter goes trick or treating, then on to a costume party at school. She is an organ grinder and my friends' little boy is the monkey.

My aunt bought my little poodle an angel outfit but she isn't too enthused about wearing it. The halo just isn't working...

I have to decorate the concert room in readiness for a big (I hope) punx thrash at the club. 4 local bands, all original material and the two eldest lads lead 2 of them. They are all very, very loud . Should be fun listening to all the pensioners complain anyway.

This should be...

An excellent Halloween. I have laid in a good store of soap and toilet paper. I have wired the door bell to an electric generator and I spent all night wrapping X-Lax in MilkyWay wrappers.

I think I'm ready :p

Not for me.. Tonight I am going to be watching the clock tick away to midnight, fingers poised feverishly over my keyboard.

Happy Halloween everyone!

I am going to be here at my keyboard writing. Maybe passing out treats to anyone who shows up, but it's realtively rae that they do. I live in a big 17th centruy house that's been converted to appartments and most of the small kids think it's haunted :)

Happy Halloween, everybody! The house is decorated, the candy bowls are full, scary ol' George is sitting on the porch, the kid will come home from school this afternoon and get into her vampire costume, and then it's off to trick-or-treat! I love Halloween.

I'm doing laundry and packing for a week in D.C. Taking the lapdog of course to begin my two novels on my king-size bed in my posh hotel. Also hoping to finish a Snipps, and must get my group's edits to WSO tonight.

I did not even realize it was H'ween til I got here, to Lit. I'm focused on Nov. 2 and only sorry I'll be someplace where I presume the Day of the Dead is an unknown. I'll bring one sugar skull and candle for my room.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe time.

For NaNo-ites: A pal suggested I start my planned story plus a throw-away (just get two people together and start writing) for anxiety release. One of them I will finish and who knows what might come of the other.

I just had my first Trick-Or-Treater. Some guy dressed up in raggedy clothes with a large plastic bag full of empty pop cans. I gave him a Milky Way. He didn't seem happy.

Damnit! Ungrateful Turd!

Awww, apparently he worked hard on his costume. You should have given him an extra for the effort ;)

Just another happy halloween here.

Daughter making important last minute decision: zombie cheerleader or punk pirate? (Inexplicably, a Spiderman mask from last year is to be part of either costume. I am a seasoned parent though; I have learned not to ask. I just walk 10 steps behind with the flashlight.)

Son is helping out at big teen halloween bash thingy. He will no doubt eschew a costume. They're not cool. (Unless your friends are wearing them, in which case they are.)

I am flashlight bearer, candy resupplier, and candy (from other houses) checker. I'm dressing up as a normal person. :)

Appearantly he did, Colly

He even smelled like a dumpster. It seems unbelievable the steps some people will go through just to make their costume seem authentic!

Happy Halloween to one and all,

We don't celebrate Halloween here in Portugal particularly, at least not on the streets, so its going to be a pretty normal evening unless your out at the clubs.

Tomorrow is All Saints Day when we traditionally visit the cemetary and lay flowers at the graves of loved ones. I bought flowers in the market opposite the house this morning and will make my pilgrimage about 140km north of here tomorrow to where my in-laws lie.

Enjoy yourselves!

I heard a rumor that Britney Spears is going to a Halloween party costumed as Christina Agulara. She says she wants to show up looking like someone everyone doesn't hate.

I hope you're using the word costumed loosely ;)

*grin* Since I haven't fixed my porch light yet, I'm guessing it's going to be a quiet evening. Hmmm....maybe I should rig some scary noises too.....

I don't think anything the brit girl wears qualifies as loose. The wearer perhaps, but not the clothes ;)

lol.
I'll be dressed in thigh high leather boots (stiletto of course)
leather hot pants and matching jacket. I'll expect everyone to call me mistress for the night...

Course I'm not going to be going to any party:devil:

Got my cape back from the dry cleaners, the scarey sound effect recording is playing on the stereo, just one more thing, and I shall be ready for when the trick of treaters show up.

BTW: Is it just me, or does everybody seem to have tired blood, these days?

I have to say I'd much rather see that than anything the Britmeister has to offer. Happy Halloween to you and yours, although I am sure that is a redundant wish if you're dressing up like that:devil:
