Even though it's been over a year since my dad passed, I still think about him daily. I know I'll always miss him. However, I was lucky enough to have two dads throughout most of my life. So to the dad who's passed on and the dad who's still with me, Happy Father's Day. I love you both dearly.

I also have two dad's in my life and am fortunate enough tto have both around. When I was very young my real father had issues with alcohol and drugs I was put into foster homes due to his behavior. I ended up in a very good one with a man that I still refer to as dad, When I was in my teens my real father got his act together and got into prgram.
There were many years we did not get along but eventually we worked things out and now I have two fathers both of whom in different ways have helped me to be a better dad myself.
Happy father's day to all the Dad's out there who have spent their lives putting up with our (and mom's) crap.

Honestly? This is what I got for fathers day. My youngest daughter graduated high school Friday Night with highest honors. I quit high school as did her mother (my first wife) and the grand parents on both sides. My oldest daughter (21) quit as well because her mother let her without me knowing. She has since gotten a GED and is in her second year of community college.
So Daughter number two here is the first to graduate in my family in a long time and she is starting college in Sept. A huge deal and the best gift I could have received.
BTW yes that is me in the pic and yes fortunately she looks like Mom (me ex is a bitch but she was a cute one) and as I have said before the back pic in my profile is my better side!

Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's and soon to be Dad's out there in Lit Land. 
My Father is gone now this six years and I still miss him. He was a good, strong and hard working man all his life and his death, while anticipated, was still a shock when it happened. He died in his sleep, which is the most one can ask of Death when it comes to us all. I love you, Dad.

My dad died when I was ten years old, so all I have is some very faded memories. Fortunately, I got to be a dad for my daughters, and the best Father's Day gift I got today was a phonecall from my elder daughter, as she was about to go to a client's office in Korea, to discuss shipbuilding.
