I wrote this for my step father when he passed away and this is dedicated to him and it also goes out to everyone who has lost a father, stepfather it was written in sept of 1995

My dad's been gone for almost 13 years now, and there's not many days go by that I don't think about him. Because, as he put it, I was 'too damn independent', our relationship wasn't always the best. But, we were very close the last few years and that grew to mean a lot to me...I miss you, Dad. Happy Father's Day

Here's what I posted on a Fathers Day thread over on the GB
Happy Daddies Day to all dads everywhere!
It's funny.....in my situation......I tend to get along better
w/ my dad than w/ my mom........though I do love them
both. I can talk to my dad better about things such
as stuff related to money, big decisions, etc. Dads
are there for things like that......but they are also there
if you are down in the dumps, if you are in trouble, etc.
I can remember the day.....April 14, 1993.......it was
the day I found out that I got accepted into Ithaca College
(my 1st choice.....the last one I heard from....and I went
there for 4 years), and I couldn't contain my excitement,
so I called my dad up at work-----he was the first one to
find out........let's say to this say his left eardrum still
rings from time to time He was so happy to hear that
I got in.......and he was the one to say to me 4 years later
that no one can take the degree I earned away from me.
