Happy Father's Day to all the single mums out there.

why thankyou. thankyou very much. we have to live by the choices we, or others, make in our lives. also, i think single fathers bear that exact same burden of responsibility.

Truth, absolutely.

Single parents

Happy Father's day to all single parents who take on the responsibilities of both mother and father in their kid's lives. I read the Parent's Murphy's Law this morning when I was looking for a Father's Day poem and it reminded me of my mom and the tireless way she took care of my brother and I when our father was unable to do so for various reasons. She was an excellent mother and was always very careful about how she talked about our absent father. She wanted us to love him, and I think we only did because it made her happy. She is gone now . . . our father is till absent, but my brother is an exceptional man and father to his stepchildren. So to eveyone who parents kiddos, Happy Fathers Day!!

Parent's Murphy's Law
1. Parenting is a 24-hour-a-day job with no salary, no raises, no promotions and very few vacations.
2. Parents are responsible for everything that happens to their children.
3. Guilt and self-blame are occupational hazards.
4. Parents don't get worker's compensation or any other fringe benefits.
5. Parents can never retire -- even when their kids ask them to.
6. Parents "don't get no respect" --until they die--and then it's too late.
