Happy Endings

I would like to propose a new "tag" or category for stories - HAPPY ENDINGS! I have been reading Literotica for some time now, and many of the authors are extremely talented, and that's part of the problem. The writing is so good that you become emotionally invested in the characters, to the point that what I see as a sad ending effects me for days or weeks, and depresses me. I'm forced sometimes to "write" a new happy ending in my mind to help me deal with it. You see, I've experienced pretty much the whole spectrum of life experiences written about here; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Been there, done that. I realize there's a lot of desire for BTB endings, and I understand that, like I said, been there, but many of the stories just beg for an alternate ending, or another chapter, where the parties forgive and reconcile and live happily ever after. We really need more of that in the world today. I know that many of the authors could easily do this, even if they're writing from their own personal experiences. Please consider this. I know some of the stories are years old, although I've only recently discovered them, but if you're one of the authors that BTB in the end or split them up, why not do an alternate ending.

Tragedy grabs tears and votes. Killing-off a sympathetic character evokes waves of sympathy and votes. And squashing your cheaters in a landslide or other act of Divine Justice protects LW stories from vicious down-voting. It's about votes, hey?

Let's ask literotica to make a change to their publishing system to support "choose your own adventure" within stories. Then you could allow the reader to guide the action and reread stories for endless variety. (has the tech under literotica changed at all in 20 years?)

I'm mostly kidding. On the other hand, it would help me when writing since I am often stuck unable to choose between two different story choices. The wife is cheating... does the husband know or not? If he knows, does the wife know he knows? The the lover know he knows? All make good stories that tickle different people's kinky bones. This way I could write each variation!

My problem is 'what next'.....many of the multiple chapter stories has the MC just experiencing new activities....and my problem (and it is MY problem, not necessarily anybody else's) is that once the door is 'opened'.....it becomes less interesting to me. Thus, in my stories, I have trouble with Chapter Two....after the initial sex. Frankly, I neither write or read erotica to 'get even' or destroy the 'cheater'. I understand that folks have experienced it which is why I tend to like hot wife stories where the hubby accepts it (and then I get all those anonymous comments about losers, etc.

So, I agree about happy endings so one way I do it is create a back story for the character that suggests a reason that the 'deed' in the story 'completes the character'
