Happy Easter!

Many happy memories of baby Easter ducks. No happy memories of grown-up Easter ducks.

:(

We released one overgrown duck at a local college's lovely duck pond. He chased us to the parking lot, then chased the car. I'll never forget that desperate waddle.

Poor Sidney.

That's the life of a farmer's granddaughter. We'll release the duckies on one of my father's ponds once they're out of pinfeathers. They'll be among their own with lots of bugs and fresh food to chase.

Dad likes ducks on the ponds. Their calming and peaceful to him. And when they start disappearing, he knows it's time to start trapping turtles. :D

That's very sad.

Our fridge is full of partially devoured choc bunnies. Even the kids have a chocolate limit!

Happy Easter!

I spent mine away with a mixture of rain, snow and sunshine. No chocolate, but lots of good food. One of the funniest weekends I've spent for a long time, in the company of my wife and her cousin, including my cousin managing to lock her keys inside the car

We attended the Sexta Santa religious parade in Lamego, a town in the north with 99.8% Catholic population. My health has recovered sufficiently to allow me to climb the 600 steps up the hillside to the church of Nossa Sra dos Remedios, I offered a silent prayer for my restored health. We ate Cabrito (small goat) drunk excellent wine, and visited Portugal's oldest church, Romanesque dating from the late 500's. Pictures later, and a short tale of Os Bolinohos de Padre - not the Priest's Balls, but the little cakes offered on Sunday to the priests visiting families, and in our case the hotel, to offer Easter blessings.

Hope you all had a good one.

Wonderful that you're feeling better. Hope the recovery continues. ;)
