Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to you too, graceanne!

This year's the first year that I'm not hosting a gigantic Easter "party." I don't quite know what to do with myself.

I worked this morning at a church that had three services. They seriously need a seventh inning stretch during those sermons.

Anyway, it was one of those huge non-denominational Christian churches, and I have to say I was sorely disappointed by the sermon. The whole point was: We all doubt. We all make mistakes. We all have questions. We're all mediocre. But we're all forgiven!!! Yay!!!

I know the pastor was trying to say nobody's perfect, and to give a sort of sympathy to the people who know it, but grr. It's feel-good sermons like this that ruin Christianity, in my opinion. If I had a microphone, an audience, and deep-seated Christian principles, I'd be talking about the greatness of God or the goodness of God or something. At the very least I'd say we all try to be good, strive for excellence, etc., but when we fail we are forgiven. I mean, set people up to aim beyond what's easy. You know?

But I guess people don't want to feel anything other than "just fine" and that's why this church had thousands of visitors (and full collection baskets) this weekend.

Easter Bunny was good to me...
I got chocolate.

And Season 1 of Babylon 5 on DVD!

YEA!

Oh lord. Kenny loves that show. If I could have afforded it I'd have gotten it for him for Christmas this year, but sooooooo not gonna happen right now. lol

The Easter Bunny got the kids new rollerblades, and a little bit of candy. The problem with having candy around the house is I will eat it. I have absolutely no self control in the middle of the night. Quite frankly when I get K candy and he doesn't eat it he puts it in the freezer outside. My fear of the dark is stronger than my chocolate cravings.

Big chubby boy :) I saw the pinched nerve posting. Yoga can help with that.

Well that's a lousy excuse. Couldn't you post during labor? Or how 'bout instead of the rare bits of sleep, posting? Obviously your priorities are skewed. :p

Seriously, congrats on the baby. Check out www.pregnancy.org , it's got some great stuff on infants, plus an active forum.

I'll have to look into it, thanks!

Congrats!

I almost forgot that it was Easter. I slept through it. I vaguely remember someone trying to get me up for church though... Lol
