He regularly comes with me when I get my tattoos. I figure that if he knows all about the process then he will be better able to make informed decisions when he is old enough.

If on his 18th birthday he comes to me and tells me he wants a tattoo I will help him choose an artist, a design, and will even go with him when he gets it done. Hell I'll even pay for it. But if he comes home before the 18th birthday with any skin art, I will drag him to the doc and get it removed.

Mind you he is a pretty sensitive kid and I get the feeling that watching me getting inked is going to be as close as he gets to a tattoo needle
