Thank you Honey. This has been the best Birthday I have ever had, thanks to you.. The best present I could have ever received was the gift of love you gave to me. Thanks to everyone

who sent good wishes for my Birthday today. The transition to 30, umm, 35, umm, 39.. was easier than I thought it would be. Ok. 40 dang it! ( There Harpoon, see I can tell the truth about my age)..


I have had a great Birthday for the big 40.. And I will take my bragging rights..My gifts from Dragon were:

1. He knows my love of hiking. He bought me a book about the "Welsh Mountain Walks" for when I make my trip to Wales!

2. He gave me two stuffed Dragons, very cute and huggable. Will have to hold on to these instead of him when he leaves

3. A set of 5 Wales coffee mugs, each with distinctive Welsh sayings.

4. A T-shirt (love this one! ) with the Simply and Dragon Icon that you see in my sig line on it. With the words "Simply and her Dragon written on it. So very pretty, enlarged like that.

5. And my favorite. A silver necklace with a Silver Dragon pendant on it. And a beautiful card with a poem he wrote for me in it.

And then a birthday lunch of my choice today, and later a bubble bath, complete with candles, music, and the two of us hopefully singing again,.( ohhh, we sound so bad, lol )


This has been the best day.. and again I thank all of you who took the time to jump in here and wish me a great day.. You are the best bunch of people...

I had a wonderful day. Reflected on some things. Amazing what turning 40 can do to you. My kids are grown, my career is going just the way I want it to. And I realized today that this is now "me" time. And I fully intend to live the rest of my life doing things I want to do, and being good to myself. It's all good..
