Happy Birthday to my favorite Beast!

Thanks! And great to hear your voice. So sexy.

Naangide`e Dibishkam!

Thanks! (I think. For all I know you could be saying "may you get the pox!")What language is that? www.langid.net says Portuguese but even I can tell it's not that. (Langid.net is usually quite good)

A birthday  from the good little witch.

And a magical kiss it was too! Thanks!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Beastie!

Thanks! So glad for you that things are starting to come together for you.

Happy Belated Birthday, Beastie. :D

I hope it was a happy one.

Not even close...its Ojibwe. :)

As I said, the langid site is normally quite good, but when it gets it wrong it gets it WRONG!

Cool!

(Yes, I looked it up on Wikipedia. Not that up on American history.)

Most of it spent on a train, actually! But yes, enjoyed the time I did spend with my family. For once I got to spend some time with both my parents (before I caught the train) and my wife and son (on arriving home eight hours later).

Anishnaabe, yes (they always miss that second 'a' for some damn reason), or "Nish" for short.

I could have said it in Cherokee or Choctaw (my band), but Anishnaabe is prettier on the ears, for some reason. :) It was also the first one I was close to fluent in. Learned the obscene words first, of course. :D

Well I guess when scholars came across the new languages different ones amongst them spelled it different ways. Happens with so many words from languages that either never had a written script or had one using a non-Latin alphabet. Look at the number of ways things in Chinese are rendered in Latin characters!

The obscene words? Mmmm... talk dirty to me (in various native American languages) baby...!

Happy Birthday Beastie :D

Thanks!
