Almost missed your birthday. I know was a shorter day but hope made the most of it. And was truly happy.

thankies all but I feel like karma hit me with a potato sack of nickels.
all i wanted was:
my boyfriend (but that is impossible for he is in florida dealing with business heh).
So the next best thing was:
a roasted chicken dinner, with green bean casserole and oven potatoes and a nice bottle of Pinot... and to share it with friends. I wanted to do my laundry, go swimming to wash away 'the suck' of the weekend, that hour i lost back, and to watch (guilty pleasure) Desperate Housewives with the remainder of the wine and my friends.
instead:
First I thought it was a bad thing to lose an hour today, my natal day.
But now I'm glad, it was such a shitty blah day.
I was going to do laundry, but found I couldn't afford it - and none of my friend's machines were working.
Then I made dinner for said friends, and no one showed.
I tried using a thermometer to cook my chicken instead of eyeball it like I usually do- and it was a bit drier then I like.
My neighbor/best female friend in the world was supposed to come home from Germany around 6, but her flights were delayed till after midnight so I didn't get her for my birthday either. PS. the poor thing has been awake for over 24 hours.
I fell terrible that she has to deal with all that.
Then the pool was closed.
and Desperate Housewives was a re-run.
My mother, father, younger sibs called - but not my extended family. And I always make sure to call them - I bet I didn't even get a card.
My older brother made me cry...
and I the bottle of wine I had all day isn't sitting well.
I appreciate that my loving boyfriend called me to sing to me around midnight (at a karaoke bar, and made everyone cry it was so sweet)
... but Karma couldn't find it in its damn heart to make something else good happen today. It wasn't all terrible... but it was all mildly annoying.
I found out my friends chipped in for me to get a pretty hair cut, and a deep conditioning treatment and a pedicure; but I have such a fucked up schedule - I may honestly not have the 2 hours to set aside to actually go to it.

Aw, sorry it was not a nice one and sucked so much....shouldn't be allowed to happen to such a cutie as you.
