Who really understands British humor?
This was not an attempt at humour British or otherwise, if you had been on the board long enough you would realise that the birthday wishes were for a fellow board member who due to personal circumstances cannot get online as often as she used to, but still if you thought it was meant to be a joke who am I to argue.
I do wish you and other board members would realise that American English is not actually a language it's just that you Americans cannot be bothered using the correct spelling of words that are actually proper English after all I have never heard of American French or American Italian as being different languages.
