I feel bad about it, too, but I have trouble remembering my own birthday. 
If you didn't get everything you hoped for, all you have to do is come visit me. I'll make up for what you didn't get...in my own way, of course.
Oh, I don't expect you to be knocking at my door any time soon. I was just hoping to benefit by twisting your birthday into a present for myself. What better present for myself than to have such a delicious woman come knocking at my door, looking for her um birthday present?
But, I hope it was a WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY, even if it would mess up my chances at having my way with your body.

Thanks everyone! I did nothing special on my birthday. I worked. I drove the kids around. I checked the school work. I told my husband no presents this year with the economy, instead I'd like a lunch and a movie when we can find the time.
He didn't really listen that well. He got me a card, a dozen roses and a cake anyway.
BTW, that's a beautiful rose up there, thanks so much! Again, thanks for the well wishes.
I was happy with my birthday. I'll be eating out with buddies for lunch on it for a month or more as we get the time! Next year will be the big 50 y'all!

Thanks to all. No worries about being late y'all. I figured I wouldn't crow about it this year and didn't expect anyone to notice.
I'm still waiting for the time to have a date with my husband. Maybe for Christmas I'll ask for a night at a hotel date! I need one of those too.
I don't mind turning 50 next year at all. I'm happy with where I am in life. My life is very good, far better than I ever imagined it could be. I am determined to age and do it gracefully if at all possible! I will not fear or hide it though I may look decades younger or so some flatterers tell me.
