A very Happy July 4th holiday weekend to you... My wonderful son-in-law is in Bagdad currently... My best wishes for a speedy and safe return of all the great men and women of are armed forces. A thank you from another ol'e soldier (Vet Nam) I salute you...

Let Us Not Forget

I think on the 4th we shouldn't only remember the soldiers that fought for our freedom, but all the people who fought against the departure of troops to Vietnam. Those brave individuals went against their government, their families, and sacrificed their body and mind to save lives. They were on the battlefield, an enemy in their own country. So let us remember the brave men and women through out our history that gave us this freedom, but we should not forget the men and women that use it everyday to try and make this country a better place. Thank you.

So if I kick you in your balls please remember that war is never the answer at that time. when your temper and balls cool off and I threaten to do it again and come towards you, please repeat to yourself "that war is not the answer."

So you think that people who support this war and some past wars are less loving and less heartfelt love and respect for life than you? Schmuck!

Was it the answer to fight Hitler?

Let me just tell you one thing, peace only comes when either:
1) one side wins; or, 2) when both sides decide at the same time that their claim is worth giving up FOREVER in order to make for a better immediate future for their own and the other side's own - This requires a recognition of the other side's humanity by both sides and requires that both sides mean it to last forever and not just for a timeout until they are ready to fight again.

Note that number two has been brought about by one side fighting hard to survive the onslaught of the other first.

Iraq could have avoided the War at anytime prior to our troops hitting the ground. They attacked an ex-President's life which means they attempted to instill fear in all of our elected officials which is an attack on your freedom you fool. The Baathists slaughtered millions including their own. Get it? forget the sales pitch, is the world better off?

When was a dictator or totalitarian regime and/or millions of lives saved without the use or threat of military force ever?

"War bad" - oh you are so deep and sensitive and obviously anyone who disagrees with you must be cold-hearted and primitive.
