I'm really feeling for you, m_d. And allow me to say, for her too. Whatever is going on there, it's a deep deep malaise. Is she depressed? Does she hate you? Have you both allowed so much emotional distance between you to develop that it's no longer bridgeable - at least not without some expert help? Please, while you no doubt need to nurse the wound of today, when you can there is an intentional plan of action needs making and, if possible, together.

I'm with Simon there. Usually flowers get more than that, even in a crappy mood. Let the hurt settle, cause I know there's no way I wouldn't be if that happened to me, and sit down and have a heart to heart about what happened, and what else is going on between you two. That sucks that it happened, and I hope things get better.
