I've been reading Literotica on and off for a few years and finally decided to register on the board after reading SmithPortinoi's excellent "Chronicles of Spider-Man." Although I'm a fan of Spidey and read the comics, I enjoyed "Chronicles" because it wasn't a Spider-Man/Peter Parker story or a suphero story for that matter- its actually a story about his model wife Mary Jane and her blackmail/seduction by a fat, lecherous slob and eventually by his skinny, acne-faced, drug addict nephew. I started a thread on Story Feedback about "Chronicles."

Like others on this board, I love cheating wives stories. But most of the stories on Lit and other sites usually involve a hot woman cheating on her average-looking husband with a good-looking stud and/or the husband is really a voyeur and is turned on by the affair- willing cuckold. A beautiful woman cheating on her husband with an Adonis Gym Rat- so what? Boring! Typical of real life and is not a turn-on to me.

My particular fetish is a woman who is married to a man who is handsome as she is beautiful. A picture perfect couple right out of central casting. The husband is not screwing around, is not an abusive jerk and definitely NOT turned on by a cheating wife- he is kind, loyal, athletic- an ideal man every woman dreams about. The wife has no reason to cheat. But for one reason or another- usually blackmail- she meets an Ugly Guy and begins an affair with him, reluctant at first but starts to get turned on and eventually becomes the Ugly Guy's willing lover. She realizes her Perfect Husband hasn't been giving her the kind of fucking Ugly Guy has and becomes addicted to the kinky sex.

I found a few with similar theme on Lit. Mohawk08's "Gaijin Encounter" and even better "Quid Pro Quo," Coleman's Daughter-in-Law stories, the Troubador's "Susan in the Forest" and Freddyj881's "My Hot Wife Katie" series. My favorite of course is above mentioned "Chronicles of Spider-Man," because I'm familiar with the Mary Jane Parker character and love the author's take of turning her from the loyal wife of a famous superhero into an unfaithful slut, eagerly fucking an unlikely pair of lovers.

My favorite non-erotica book on the theme is the late Ed McBain's "Heat" from his 87th Precinct series. Handsome young detective Bert Kling suspects his beautiful, red-head model wife Augusta is cheating on him, she's lacking passion during sex and is recently coming home late. Kling uses his detective skills to find the truth and is convinced she's seeing a male model who resembles him. He eventually catches her in bed with her lover but it's not the male model- he's an ugly, short guy whom she is working with on a commercial. What I liked about "Chronicles" is that Mary Jane is similar to Augusta but "Heat" narrative is from the POV of the detective husband; it's a police-procedural novel not erotic fiction so no descriptive sex- too bad!

I haven't written anything in years and never erotic fiction but I'm considering doing my own take on "Chronicles of Spider-Man,"- with respect to Smithportinoi, not an actual sequel but a slightly different outcome. Or a similar story to "Heat" but from the POV of the model wife Augusta.

I'd like to know of other stories I've missed on this fetish of mine.
Any of you have original ideas on this theme or would like to take a crack at "Chronicles" or even "Heat?"

Sounds like an interesting concept. I agree that you'd need some sort of blackmail or coercion to kick things off. But eventually, we might learn that she loves the degrading sex with the ugly thug because of deep, self-hatred feelings, and the sense that she doesn't deserve any better.

Too deep (and depressing!) for my taste, but it could make for a great story for those who like that type of stuff.

I have been toying with this concept for some time on and off. I prefer to write something that breaks with the "formula" at least in part not because I think it is "wrong" but because I do not want to simply write something that seems already done over and over. Thus, I have an outline for a story where the husband and wife are successful and "beautiful" as you describe.

I also decided on the husband not being a cheat, but the wife has a wandering heart, although not actually adulterous. I chose to forgo blackmail as the motivation since I find it too well worn of a path. And the "other man" is not "ugly" physically, but instead is a sadist and deeply into humiliation. Therefore, her affair involves everything obverse from her loving and beautiful marriage and if revealled would be as unpleasant or destructive as "blackmail" would be. Those are my tweaks to the formula.

I agree, blackmail has been done ad nauseum, but it's the easiest way to begin the affair. Most of us are conditioned to believe no beautiful woman married to an ideal husband would willingly have sex with a physically unattractive man.

I've thought of a story of a husband and wife taking a cross country trip; the husband flies back to their city due to an unexpected emergency at work. When he returns to the hotel, his wife is gone and left him a video email that she has not been kidnapped but had met someone...he is dumbstruck but is determined to find her, she later sends him an email revealing the truth about her long-dead mother. He pieces the clues together and eventually finds out who she ran off with- no blackmail or coercion.

First, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Second, there are those who truly look beyond the physical. That said, I think in fiction blackmail is the trope as you point out. I prefer to steer away from it. I find I just can't get past my innate repugnance. I just do not suspend my disbelief. Instead, I try to find some other motivation. Something internal to the character rather than external as would be blackmail.

We might almost look at the trope of having sex with the common man (the help, the lower classes, etc.) This was part of the classism within Lady Chatterly's affair with the Gameskeeper.

Also, sadly many women do not appreciate their own beauty, often the most "beautiful" seem to be the most insecure, thus it may be an issue of deep seated insecurity. Perhaps she has a drug addiction and sleeps with her dealer? Or perhaps the "ugly" man makes her feel powerful because he is beneath her, giving her the upperhand in her mind. Perhaps it is simply her kink.

I just think it is more creative to find some other motivator. I am interested in hearing other thoughts as I still toy with this story idea.
