I have always had long hair and the thing I hate most is having it pulled when it is tied back. I usually wear it in one long braid, and people, I think are just to tempted to pull at it. Anytime I go out I usually come back with my hair loose due to the fact that my elastics some how disappear.
As for pig tails and such......my hair is way to heavy for that anymore.

Do not pull my hair!
Run your fingers through it, stroke it, brush it, I'll tickle you with it, but whatever you do don't pull it! I look rediculous in pig tails. I'll get it french braided from time to time but usually if it has to be up a couple of the industrial sized big toothed clippy kinda thingies or 5 pony tail holders keeping it reigned in will do.

OK, I'll give..
I wear pigtails, my hair is a little past my shoulders and I make a pigtail on each side and don't pull it all the way through, so it's kinda puffy. I'm 23, but get told I look 18 (if I'm lucky) all the time... this attracts the young'uns for some reason..
And I love~love~loved it when my ex from like 3 years ago used to wrap my hair around his wrist/hand once and pull tightly back while doin' it doggy style.. grrrrrrr, brought the animal out of me.
ohhhh, I just got shivers..

I absolutly love having my hair pulled. I don't have very long hair it is kind of short and very curly. But, when he tangles his fingers in my curls, makes a fist and yanks. I'm his for the taking. Add some teeth to my neck or back...I'm a goner. DAMN nothing is better in my book.

My hair's only shoulder-length, so no pig-tails for this gal. Haven't had a guy pull my hair since grammar school, seems kindas juvenile to me. I love having his fingers run through my hair though, and of course running my fingers through his hair. Even with his small bald spot, he STILL has a lot of hair at 45. He started using a milder shampoo about 10 years ago when his hair was falling out, he says he hasn't had any new hair loss since then, I've known him over 4 years and haven't seen any new hair loss in that time, which is great, because I REALLY love running my fingers through his wavy hair.
He also has this way of running his fingers through my "other" hair, "down THERE" and I love THAT, I keep myself especially bushy just for him. He doesn't exactly PULL that hair either, just runs his fingers through it, curls it around his fingers, and so on, before kissing that hair and moving downward from there and...and... umm, sorry gotta go now and get some relief!

I'm very particular about my hair. My scalp is sensitive, and I have gone through many hairdressers before finding someone I can tolerate touching it.

When (hypothetically anymore) it came time to take hold of my hair, he just wrapped it around his wrist/hand and held it very taunt, no jerking... and then I would kinda keep my chin pointed down towards my chest... and voila, no whiplash... One hand in my hair, one hand holding my waist, getting it doggy style, -->It's Grrrrrrrreat! Grab hold and it brought the bucking bronco outta me.. lol.. been told many times he couldn't keep up..

I pull my own hair when I'm agitated. I'll jerk it, sometimes hard enough to jerk my head. I have long hair, getting longer (the Navy made me cut it all the way to my ears). I hate it when it gets pulled by others. It's not the pain that bothers me, it just really pisses me off. Like spankings, the pain isn't the issue, the fact that it was done is the issue.
