no, for once I don't. I was reading an article about Elvis and what he liked to eat, and they make a referance to hand dipped milkshakes. I did a couple searches and all I get are places that serve them, as if it is a big deal. But no explanation.

A hand dipped shake is one in which they use actual scoops of "hard" ice cream that they scoop by hand, rather than the soft serve McDonald's kind.
